Went with my family and would say for sure I'd come back to try more. We got the Bulgogi Fries, they're on the more expensive side but there is plenty Bulgogi in there and very much worth it.We also had Szechuan wings with Black Sesame Honey sauce. Its on the sweeter side but the flavor of the wings was great. Not very crispy but they do have the sauce and wings separate (sauce in the bottom of the bowl, wings on top).Bulgogi Cheesesteak was one of my favorite dishes we tried there so far. Messy but has a nice kick and plenty of bulgogi.Pad Thai is different than your traditional Pad Thai but I enjoyed their take on it. Has a very nutty taste and a good amount of vegetables and chicken served with it.Everything was great except the Brisket Fried Rice. Flavors were great, but the rice was saturated in sauce and was overly salty. Brisket was great though. We also tried the malasada donuts. We were going to try coconut and guava, unfortunately they ran out of coconut so that'll have to wait on that until next time. The guava donut however we sweet, sugary, and the filling was very flavourful.I would get everything again my next visit, except the Brisket Fried Rice. Will be planning on trying their burgers next time though!
This place is one of our favorites on the beach. The bowls, salads and burgers are all delicious. There is dining inside and outside and ample parking. They have Dr. Brown's soda which I'm addicted to. Everything always tastes fresh.
Owner Jesse greeted us and spent time engaging with regard to the menu then in general. Great coffee and Malasadas! Food is fresh and tasty and the presentation is on point. Can't wait to go back!
The best burger I've ever had. If I were ever on death row and had to choose my last meal I just might choose the gnarly Burger. Good size sit-down dining area for a small spot as well as places at the bar. Very casual. Outstanding unique menu, lots of drink choices. They also have an outside area. Wasn't a problem getting parking. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Such a great experience I can't wait to come back and try everything on the menu!
Recommended to me by a former Navy SEAL who lives locally I was very pleased with the suggestion. For "what it is" it's really a pretty fun spot with a really nice, mostly very young staff that went out of their way to make me feel welcomed, including giving me samples before I made my selection. A very much appreciated move on their part. The only thing lacking in this spot is it being on the waterfront but then again it might make things more expensive and screw up their drive thru feng shui. The restrooms (2 of them) are both unisex (can I still say that) and just might win the award for the most fun wallpaper.Their credit card cashier system does not seem to let you add a tip so if you are so inclined be ready with a 5 spot or more.I meant to grab a picture Pokemon game council on my way out but I spaced it.I found the parking lot just a little confusing as I think they need a refresher paint job on their parking stalls and one way traffic arrows.Next time I am in town from the left coast I will be sure to return and would recommend this place. Remember for what it is it gets the 5 star review BUT it is by no means a fancy pants spot.
We went to Aloha Snacks at my sister-in-law's suggestion. Our party of six ranged from my 80-yo mom to my 8-yo nephew. I honestly had no idea what I was walking into, but it turned out to be a great meal. The menu has a Hawaiian / Tropical theme as the name would suggest, but they have great burgers too. Our party tried the Tonkotsu Ramen, Shiso Crazy Salmon, 2 special Smash Burger, and the kids' pizza roll and hot dog. The ladies had the Guava Crush drink. My brother and I picked out canned beers from their relatively diverse selection. Everyone enjoyed their food and there were no leftovers. Jesse, the owner was super attentive. He was dealing with a short staff and went above and beyond providing personal service and brought extra Guava Crush to compensate for what was at worst a minor extension to our wait. Our food probably took 10 minutes to start coming out and was all out at 13 minutes. We will definitely go back to try more of their fare.
Absolutely excellent food that you will not find anyplace else in Virginia Beach and a great beer and drink selection. Highly recommend!
I have eaten here 3 times and tried 3 different things. All were outstanding. Highly recommend this place. Try different foods too. They all are uniquely their own experience. Quickly became a favorite to a New to VB person.
Favorite place to eat of the trip. Enjoyed th3 poke bowl. Everything was delicious.
