I had the schmoojee alcoholic smoothie. Great way to cool off with a drink~ My sweetheart had the Ny Sour. Smooth liquor drink with a tart punch. We ordered the giant pretzel for the table with the honey mustard and cheese dip. I ordered the ribeye and bone marrow over truffle fries. Very umami, really hits all the savory notes as well as texture ones with steak crust and crispy fries. My sweet ordered the pulled pork mac. Sauce was nice and creamy and the pulled pork was a well married smokey hint. 10/10 will be back.
I recently visited 1608 Crafthouse for the first time. I had the pork belly tacos and my wife had the bacon cheeseburger. We shared a delicious and GIGANTIC soft pretzel topped with caramel and brown sugar. Her burger was pretty good, the pretzel was divine but the pork belly tacos were disappointing. The tortillas were encrusted to the plate and the toppings were kind of one big mass of soggy pork and eggs plopped on top. I prefer either pre-filled tacos on a taco tray, or an array of toppings served with fresh tortillas that I can put together myself. I’d give this place a 3 star review based on my entrée, but the staff was just so pleasant that I have to give a 4 star. I will come back for the pretzel.
The exterior and the interior are not pretentious, but this place has emotional food! We had blackened flounder with scallops and blackened chicken sandwich... it was scrumptious. Even a mundane dish as the grilled cheese sandwich as amazing. Deserts: skillet cookie and chocolate peanut butter brownie... oh my... it was really good, original recepie, not made with ordinary ingredients. I would recommend to friends and will visit soon!
Whenever we have the time and inclination for a night out, we always head to 1608 Crafthouse. Some nights, and days, it can be crowded but the food, drinks and service are well worth the wait. The menu is hand-crafted weekly with new items each week supplementing the usual favorites like the bacon cheeseburger and the Big A$$ pretzel. For the picky eater (like a Keto or Whole 30 foodies), just ask! The staff is always willing to modify to the best of their ability to please any guest! Finally, the drink selection is crazy good. While I am no beer lover, the bartenders can always find me something to enjoy. Bottom line: best food, service, and experience around!
One the finest restaurants in Virginia Beach. Fantastic fresh and locally sourced cuisine with frequent new entrees. If you are the mood for a great burger, the perfect NY strip or delicious fish right out of the water, 1608 is is the spot. Best craft beer selection in VB also.

Tried both the Bacon Cheeseburger and the Blackened Chicken Sandwich. Honestly, both were so delicious I cannot pick a favorite! Tried the flight of beers on tap to compliment the food. I would highly recommend dropping by for drinks and a bite!
1608 never disappoints. You can always expect quality food and impeccable service. The staff makes you feel at home. The beer selection is always top and the menu varies enough to satisfy the picky eater and the complex palate so everyone’s happy :)
