My wife and I discovered a great family owned Vietnamese Restaurant in Vienna Virginia on Glyndon Street very close to Whole Foods called Viet Aroma. The food is fantastic! We went first in April and have been back many times since then. It’s consistently great! The portions are filling. This restaurant knows what the human heart wants and delivers every time in perfect quantity, flavors, and warm service! We recommend the sesame beef watercress salad with low spice. The beef is tender and marinated and cut in to bite size pieces mixed with watercress, cucumbers, and the most perfect vinaigrette dressing. It’s a must! The clay pot fish. Oh my goodness this is heavently! Fish cooked in clay pots with Caramelized onions served deliciously hot, the flavors waft up and like the introduction to a great play on stage. I can’t get enough. This one dish will keep you coming back for more weekly. The Vietnamese Classic dish I remember as Bo Luc Lac is called Shaky Beef at Vietnamese restaurants today. Viet Aroma makes this perfect. Cubed beef marinated in garlic. If it was just great food, it would be already fabulous. But it’s much more. There is a certain feeling like walking in to a wondrous Scottish Glen, experiencing magic. Magic!! Words escape me but perhaps it’s because words aren’t the appropriate medium. The feeling eating Viet Aroma’s food is vibrant, healthy, warm intelligent, perfectly prepared food. Les Amis d’Escoffier Family Style while at the same time cozy, fresh, crisp. The highest recommendation.
I have tried pho at several different restaurants in the area and this place has become my absolute favorite. Not only is the pho broth incredibly tasty, the customer service is amazing. Ngoc was managing the restaurant every time I went and memorized my order after my first visit! She is very kind, attentive and made the experience that much better. If you’re reading this review that means you’re interested in trying out this restaurant. Don’t second guess it - go!
Geat tasting food. Nice cozy ambiamce. Food was very fresh and tasted just right. Easily a 5 star but the lunchbox portion was a bit small and they have to work on the pricing. Although the prices on their menu was slightly higher (were charged less) they need to have uniform pricing. It is such a good food and needs to be tasted by more patrons or first time foodies. A must try if you are in the area....
I count on them for quick & delicious take-out pho. They have never let me down
The food here was amazing. I come from California, where there's a lot of Vietnamese restaurants, and I wanted to have a taste of home for comfort, and this place definitely didn't disappoint. I ordered the Pho Tai, and my girlfriend ordered the Bun Thit Nuong, and they were both amazing. The soup had this light quality to it, but it still packed a lot of flavor in each sip, and the fish sauce was nice and sweet in the best way. 10/10 will come here again if I'm ever in the area again.
Such wonderful homemade Vietnamese food! Everything is delicious. We love Lily the owner too. Such a wonderful woman. We have been eating here for 8 years and we are so happy we found this gem in Vienna, Va.
I picked up a doordash order from here and I asked if I could use the bathroom. I was met with “no the bathroom is closed to the public.”
Over priced and the taste is sub par at best. Shrimp is tiny cheap grade ingredients. I don’t mind paying more but you better be worth the price. Not even close.
Do not waste your time and money. The Pho is not good. The customer service makes you feel unwelcomed. Please just close. You don’t seem to want to be in business anymore.
Food gave me and my wife diahrrea. We ordered regular pho and it was just terrible on our stomach even without the hot sauce. Will never go back to this place. This place is dirty and the food is dirty. Avoid!
