Sushi was good according to my wife and kid who love sushi and enjoy it. For me, I ordered chicken and it was really bad! I was disappointed and disgusted by; I know that you do not come here to eat chicken but I don’t like sushi!Anyway, I took one star out because I believe the place can use a deep cleaning in the main room and kitchen, carpet needs to be replaced, they need new glasses and silverware! And the kitchen needs really deep deep cleaning.
Attentive service and large selection of food - they have some Japanese, Thai & Chinese dishes on the menu. The waiter (Kit) was very good and took real care - they checked with us at least 4-5 times even when the restaurant was full on a Friday evening. I had Thai red curry that he explained that it will be spicy. But it wasn't bad at all. My family has Bento. We all enjoyed the time and will be back
Such a cute sushi spot. This is definitely one of my gems? I was so happy I stumbled upon this place years ago. The place feels like home, I've been coming for a while and each time they hit the spot! Never had any issues. Such sweet servers/ employees and the food is exceptionally great!! I've taken my family, friends, and even set up dates here. Everyone comes back to try more since it's sooooo good!! Sushi is 10/10 every visit, the Thai tea is AMAZING (and a must) & so is the rest of the menu items. Definitely need to check this place out ! ?
One of our favorite sushi places, have been coming here for years, always tip notch! Just ask for normal soy sauce vs the low sodium stuff. ;)
Umm... YUM to their Korean BBQ! I'm not a sushi person but my husband is and he gives this a thumbs up for the tuna. Our nieces love the salmon. We have only eaten in and it's cute. Popular too as even on a Tuesday night it was busy. Service is fast and efficient. Someone in our party has a gluten sensitivity and they were very good about providing ingredient info beyond what we even asked for. We'll continue to patron Sweet Ginger for both the food and the service.
I have visited sweet ginger a million times pre pandemic. The food is average. Don’t go in, especially if your a minority, you will be treated badly. Service is horrible. There is a lady there that refuses to listen when she takes orders. She doesn’t give plates. She asked my father to eat out of a wok that the fried rice was server out of instead of giving him a plate. She was condescending and irritated with us from the get go. She (asian) was being really nice to the white customers in the restaurant in comparison to us (minority indians). I will never go back. This is not the 1850s and I have the right to be treated equally.
After some connecting flights and hours of flying and a great Lyft ride, I finally made it to my friends in Vienna. We definitely worked up an appetite after all the traveling, so we took a little drive to one of the nearby plazas after looking on Yelp for sushi restaurants in the area. The lunch crowd was winding down and we were quickly seated and served. All the servers were following mask protocols, and there was a steady stream of patrons coming by for pickup and takeout orders. We ordered a California roll, shrimp tempura roll, JB Roll and a Philly roll. To round out the selections, we ordered their specialty duck roll, which don't be fooled, it was not a sushi roll. Instead, it was deliciously roasted duck with vegetables and herbs, held in a thicker wrap than an egg roll. It was incredible. The sushi came out quickly and was also good, but I was blown away by the oversized and artistic JB Roll, as well as the smoky salmon in the Philly roll. The textures and flavors of both were outstanding.Just to ensure the entrees were up to par with the sushi, we ordered the chicken red Thai curry with basil, which came with a side of slaw and white rice. The curry was perfectly spiced, just enough to open your pores, but not so much that you were reaching for your drinks. We really enjoyed the food, the service and the decor. I highly recommend them, and will definitely be back when I'm in the area.
Nice find tucked in Vienna with good sushi and Thai food options. I visited here in a group of 4 and didn't call ahead but they were able to seat us immediately. The menu has a big selection of sushi and Thai entrees. The table ordered about 9 different rolls and sashimi. It seemed the waitress did forget to put in our order at first but nicely brought us edamame while we waited. The food was pretty good and all the rolls were distinct in preparation. Ambience is soft and great for date night or a night out with friends. ll be going back.
Great sushi, good service, the place is small but the food is great
This used to be my place for delicious food. My pad Thai was not very good.
