This is hands-down the best place for sushi in the DMV area! As a Japanese person, I can say that this is my go-to place for sushi. If you are looking for high-quality sushi, fish, or Japanese dishes, definitely look no further than Sushi Koji. You simply will not get better value anywhere else. The fish is of excellent quality and the tastes are reminiscent of Japan, which is often hard to find in the states.Sushi Koji opened relatively recently and they’ve been nothing short of fantastic. Chef Lee is so incredible at what he does and he is also simply a wonderful person. All of the staff at Sushi Koji are so kind and attentive. The service is 10/10.If you like salmon or tuna, I’d recommend the salmon don or tuna don. You cannot go wrong with the chirashi, and they offer some really great appetizers (our favorites include Agedashi tofu, fried oyster, chicken karaage). I also enjoy getting takeout from Sushi Koji, as the quality is always well-preserved.I’d give more stars if I could. I’m so grateful to have found such a fantastic place for authentic Japanese cuisine — haven’t found one with such good value in other big cities like NYC or Boston. I’ve recommended this place to all of my friends and would highly recommend it to you as well.
I went there at least 3 times. Food tastes fresh and delicious. Gilled eel rice is one of my favorite. Simple and modern decoration inside makes environment looks clean. But I was feeling cold when I ate there.
Excellent sushi. Nice ambience as well. We ordered the chef's choice sushi for two. We thought the amount of food was enough for the two of us, and the price was fair for the quality. We would definitely come back.

I went to this restaurant for my lunch. I was so excited when I saw “maguro Yamakake” on the menu because It’s one of my favorite Japanese food and have never seen this since I came to the states. I ordered “maguro yamakake” “sushi koji black cod” and “Agedashi tofu”. everything I ordered was great. I also loved Grilled black cod. Some restaurant has grilled fish and most of them were dried. But Koji black cod was not dried and has good seasoned.like the restaurant interior. Very clean and calm. I definitely recommend to my Japanese friends. I will try their sushi next time.
Delicious food. It's a place we will add to our rotation of favorite sushi restaurants in the area. Only small issue was service was a little spotty. Could have been a bit better.
The food and service was wonderful! I highly recommend this newly opened sushi place! They have some unique sushi rolls that are deep fried (absolutely fantastic). Here are some pictures below!

I decided to go try out this new sushi restaurant that just opened up and it was worth it. The place is really nice and cozy. The food was really good and fairly priced . Definitely go back.
My new favorite sushi place in the area! Vienna roll and Koji roll were absolutely delicious. Other Nigiri pieces were fresh and melt right in your mouth.
