Got some samosas this evening and I must say that I’m thoroughly disappointed as they were double fried (ie samosas made earlier in the day were refried and served), dripping with oil and totally inedible (unless one likes high cholesterol levels). What good is an Indian eatery which can’t even get fresh samosas right?Today was our first time at this spice6 since 2019 in the hope that something would have changed for the better over last few years but things are still the same. Back in 2019 we stopped going here because of increased costs and drop in quality of dosas and idly.
My first time going there, lady at the counter was very nice and helpful. I picked naan pizza and rice bowl. Both were fresh and tasty. Recommended. Thank u.
Food was amazing, had a rice bowl with black beans, lamb, lentils, lettuce, tikka masala and tomato chutney. Atmosphere is like a Chipotle layout, but food is restaurant quality. Will definitely be coming here again and highly recommend people trying it. The garlic naan is cooked fresh and was a perfect soft in the center and slightly crispy on the edges. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the tomato chutney, it tasted too much like mustard, which I'm not a fan of.
We used to love this place but now the food is not as great. Their tikkis used to have proper filing, vadas used to be so good but today they were grainy and half cooked. Idlis were so hard. And to add to it, all of it seemed microwaved :(
Build your own options are great. You should definitely try the Naan pizza, it's an Indianized version of a pizza with multiple options for the protein and toppings. It's hard to find parking near the store. There are only 3 paid spots available in front of the store.
Naan pizza is amazing with spicy red sauce. Me and my wife will always visit this store when we are in dc area. Staff is so friendly and nice.
Fantastic food and great service. And quick service as well! Definitely recommend to anyone that’s in the Northern Virginia area!
I love Vada Pav (Indian Burger), Panner Kabob, Samosas Chat here. We do take out at least once a month. My 7 yr old love the food here... it's always he who would ask for big panner
Naan based pizzas are clearly the only thing that will fix this world. That said, one thing I don't get is why when you order online you still have to order your "extras" then they throw it in the convection oven. I don't mind, it's just frustrating. Also check your orders, my vege pizza has chicken in it not paneer and came with no chutney.
Great food, but the joint keeps increasing prices while reducing serving size
