I was out running errands, needed to grab lunch, and came across this highly rated spot. Now, Roll Play Grill markets itself as a Vietnamese Grill, but the owners and chefs have taken some license with certain dishes… and that’s fine by me.I entered the restaurant and was immediately welcomed by two of the employees. I had questions about the menu, asked for staff recommendations, and took some time to order. The staff member at the register was was very patient and super helpful.I was hungry, so I ordered a few thighs. I ordered the Signature Fully Loaded Bowl with chicken. This is essentially Bún Thịt Nướng. The ingredients were fresh and their house Vietnamese Vinaigrette was authentic and tasty. The ingredients were fresh and the chicken, albeit dry was flavorful. It’s a smaller portion, but with the two Imperial Rolls, it’s a nice size meal. I do wish the “bowl” this came in was bigger because mixing the ingredients without things falling out was impossible.I had the Triple D Imperial Rolls (chicken, pork, shrimp). They were freshly made and piping hot. They were small spring rolls, but has good flavor. I also ordered two Veggie Imperial Rolls (because they were free if you checked in on Yelp!) and they were equally fresh and tasty. The sweet chili sauce is the best dip for these rolls.I also ordered two Magnum Rolls, one with Honey Glazed Tofu and the other with Lemongrass Beef. They were perfectly made, that meaning fully loaded with delicious and fresh ingredients ingredients tightly rolled in chewy rice paper. The peanut and spicy peanut sauces are incredible condiments for the Magnum Rolls. These were so well balanced—creamy, savory, and slightly sweet. I could drink these sauces. While expensive at almost $4 each, they were satisfying… and those peanut sauces!Lastly, I had a side of the Ox Tail Bone Soup and it was unbelievably delicious. It was also piping hot, incredibly beefy and unctuous, with just a kiss of sweetness from the cinnamon and anise. It was a nice way to begin my meal and taking sips throughout lunch was a delightful experience.Roll Play Grill belongs to the Happy Endings Hospitality restaurant group. Daente, one of the employees was kind enough to deliver my food, check on me, get me another sauce, and gave me information about the Restaurant and other Happy Ending endeavors. They were very warm and welcoming.

Went to restaurant for first time and ordered out. Super easy ordering at the iPads. Always get the 3 rolls, shrimp option my favorite. The thing that makes me really appreciate this place and it's staff is that I left my credit card in machine and 3 days later I called just to see if it was there, and it was, and nobody used it. I didn't think there were honest people still in this world and it made me think very highly of the staff here. The food is always on point! Definitely recommend

I'm from Tennessee and so the only way I've been introduced to Roll Play is because colleagues of mind at our company's headquarters nearby have ordered it in... And my gosh. Such a great product. Every time I come back to VA for work, I have to find a way to get Roll Play in as one of my meals. I wish we had one where I live because I'd probably order from there at least once a week. Well done, y'all!

Every experience I've had at Roll Play has been a good one. The food is flavorful, staff is friendly, what more could you want? Roll Play is a fast casual spot conveniently located off of route 7 near Tysons mall. The decor inside is simple and neat. They have limited seating, including two tables outdoors. You put your order in on the kiosks stationed at the front.I ordered my usual, the chicken vermicelli bowl, which comes with veggies and chicken on a bed of rice noodles, and my friend ordered magnum rolls, which are essentially summer rolls (rice paper wrapper stuffed with veggies, protein, and vermicelli). I highly recommend the spicy peanut sauce, it's like crack. The order also comes with your choice of spring rolls. The veggie spring rolls are delicious. Other options they have include banh mi and pho, neither of which I've tried yet. You can also choose from chicken, beef, pork, or shrimp for protein options for all dishes. Overall, the food is filling and relatively healthy and delicious to boot.

Food was excellent. We ordered 3 Magnum rolls, a bun salad and oxtail meat pho. Everything was good. Server was understanding as we switched from take out to dine in. Magnum rolls are a meal unto itself...lots of meat packed in (other places use rice noodles to extend...this one doesn't). Highly recommended.

Great, fast, and delicious. I love that you walk in, order from a screen and they bring it right to you! If you get extra pork belly, make sure you stick it in the soup before you eat it, otherwise it's super dry.

Worst pho I've had perhaps ever. Broth was ok but much too salty. Had to hit the hosin sauce hard to try to balance it. Rice noodles were dead--sitting in a pot for too long. Didn't see any Thai basil, so went back and told them. They said they only put in two leaves. Excuse me? Hardly any bean sprouts either. Never going back.

The most disingenuous, revolting Pho I’ve EVER had. This was not Pho. Rice noodles were disgusting-probably cheapest in the market, forgot to put bean sprouts, and they don’t like giving you a slice of lime if you don’t order it in advance!!Soda machines broken, no genuine Vietnamese drinks either. DO NOT come here for Pho. It’s more like glorified ramen than genuine cuisine.

Pretty good pho, when dining in it’s served assembled, not the traditional Pho style when you are in the ingredients separately. The broth was just a bit too salty for my taste though. Small portion compared to the typical Pho bowls.

Great soup! Spicy ox tail was delicious and spiced to perfection! It was easy to order without cilantro.Dining area seats about 12-15.
