I am an Indian and I am really disappointed with the food. Definitely not worth the price at all. I don't care abt other reviews for this place but it was really bad.The paneer 65 I order is soaked in gravy. Paneer 65 is supposed to be a dry starter, not a gravy curry! The paneer tasted like a sponge and very cheap quality. The starters are supposed to be spicy but what I got is a sweet tomato sauce ?The veggie biryani was spicy as hell. I mean real spicy even for an Indian, I don't think it is even healthy to eat something this spicy (there is only two spice levels in Uber eats, "default" and "mild" and say that their default spice level is "perfect", but it definitely is not perfect. Their default is over spicy and should have "normal spicy" level as another option. There was no onions or lemon as sides with the biryani which is again surprising fr the price at this place. Also, there was too much of spicies in the biryani (check my pictures). The most frustrating is the broken cinnamon sticks. There is no reason at all to break the cinnamon sticks in biryani. It's supposed to be one single stick which we can remove when eating so that it won't randomly end up between my teeth fr every bite ?Some good things: the raita was awesome, I really loved the fact that they dint add cucumber in raita. I hate cucumber in raita. The starter which was supposed to be spicy was mild, so, I used it to compensate the biryani which was supposed to be normal spicy was over spicy.

Had a great experience the restaurant was usual packed on sunday afternoon, their amritsari chicken is a must have, also the parathas and naan. Went again this time had samose chaat, chicken biryani and Rajasthani laal maas. The chaat is super tasty, biryani also good, but the portion of the laal maas was limited, to only 3piece of bony mutton in gravy. Overall food taste is great.

I visited on a Sunday evening that became busier as time passed. Tables were full with combinations of families and couples, and servers seemed occupied with attending to guests and bussing tables for waiting guests. Service overall struck me as informed and straightforward both from what I saw and personally experienced. I liked the clean trays along with water cups already at seats for diners to use for eating (seemed thematically appropriate). Being my first visit, I ordered mainly some staples I normally eat at Indian places as well as a less typical drink to start. The barkeep took my entire order on a handheld device: Kala Khatta soda and roasted papads to open, samosas as an appetizer, madras chicken curry and roti bread for a main, and a mango lassi and rice pudding to finish. The timings for each part of the meal mostly fell within reasonable intervals especially given the busyness of the kitchen (the curry took a little longer).Flavors seemed authentic to my taste starting with the soda which had distinctive fruit and citrus notes with a little spice as advertised. Papads were predictably crisp and had two tasty sauces, the chutney being preferred slightly over the green coriander sauce for me. Samosas were fried well although I was expecting more flavor and spice from the filling. The potatoes inside tasted rather plain even if they were nicely warm. I could have eaten the chickpeas with some rice as a main the texture and accompanying sauce was that good. The madras curry was spicy as the barkeep helped me understand but delightfully so. I personally liked the strong spice profile emphasizing coriander. The chicken itself had a gently cooked feel that left the meat nearly fork tender. Spinach accents provided just that, and even more spinach for me would have been welcome. Rotisserie bread arrived warm and tasting as expected. The yellow lentils looked, felt, and tasted smooth and comforting with the fluffy basmati rice. The mango lassi took a good thickness for me with the mango flavor not too sweet or overpowering to my taste buds. Finally the rice pudding was likewise not too sweet and offered a little texture contrast with some slivered almonds. I have enjoyed this dessert with a slightly thicker consistency, but this version proved quite satisfying.I can definitely see why this establishment was busy and would recommend to anyone looking to go Indian for lunch or dinner in and around Northern Virginia.

Great food and good portions! We got the Chicken biryani, Chicken pepper and the Chicken 65, all pretty delicious! Place is kinda small, so there might be a tiny wait on a Friday night. Service was pretty great.

Biryani was good. Although portion size of every item is very very small. This is just another typical indian restaurant in the US, don't expect authentic indian taste here.

My boyfriend and I came here and absolutely loved it. The staff was so sweet and helpful. I ordered the buttered chicken with garlic naan. My boyfriend ordered the chicken tikka masala and devoured it. The spices and flavors were so yummy, and melted with warmness in my tummy. And to top it off the manager had given us a mango lassi on the house ,since it was our first time visiting! It was overall a wonder restaurant! We will definitely be coming back. :)

Food was amazing. Also, the garlic Naan had a liberal amount of garlic...garlic lovers should be ecstatic ?Got there an hour before they closed prior to the dinner seating. Plenty of time to enjoy great food with someone! The appetizer was all the way, nearly a meal in itself (samosas with toppings). Had to bring home leftovers to enjoy later

We've been meaning to try this place for a while since we used to go to Punjabi by Nature that used to be here.We were initially seated at table that has a barrel underneath it which is awful because you can't fit your legs under and is very uncomfortable. Luckily there were other tables available and we were able to move. Definitely avoid those tracks of you can.Overall, we loved the food. We got pani puri and chicken 65 to start. Both were delicious and would get again. They're not the common things you see at Indian restaurants so had been a while since I've been able to get them. For our main course, we got the baingan bhartha with roti, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. The baingan bhartha was delicious. Different restaurants tend to make this differently but this has been our favorite version of it. The chicken tikka masala was fine. I had asked for it medium but didn't really taste any spice. I was disappointed with the naan. I mainly tasted the char and usually prefer when the naan is nice and fluffy and soft. It really took away from the chicken tikka masala and would avoid getting again.

We love Bansari and are so glad we found this place! The staff is super friendly. I can be picky and only like white meat but on my last order I forgot to request it and I called and they happily adjusted my order for me. The food has great flavor and can be very hot (which my husband loves). We are loyal customers - thanks for being so great, Bansari!

After moving to the area, first Indian restaurant we tried and no disappoints at all. Best food quality. Good on taste, portion, hospitality, ambiance.. Will visit again and recommend if you are a foodie!
