This is perhaps the only cafe in the Vienna area that not only exudes the confidently modern, chic urban coffeehouse aesthetic, but matches it with flavorful, thoughtful menu items as well. The interior is thoughtfully arranged: contemporary wooden chairs and tables that flank the wide-open coffee bar, all under an open dining space. My macchiato had the fruity, earthy, and tart taste I expected of a decent espresso, and it even came in cute glassware, to boot. Service was helpful and friendly, and prices reasonable. If you’re looking for a quality cafe experience not weighed down by the crowdedness, inconsistent quality, and downright lack of cleanliness in other nearby cafes (looking at you, Panera Bread and Starbucks on Maple Avenue), try out this cafe—and do sit down and slowly enjoy your espresso for at least 15 minutes. This is one of the best cafes I’ve visited in the NoVA area, and I plan on returning very soon.
The pastries here are fantastic! Beautiful, buttery, and fresh. They definitely stand out compared to most places.I tried the DR roast as a pour over, and it was great. Fresh and light, and you can watch them prepare it.The vibes in here are immaculate, very pretty and quiet with good background music. It would be a good place to work from.
One of the best cups of coffee I've had in NoVA. Perfect temperature and finish. Milk is slightly overpowering but still good. Using a Marzocco. Nice to see a place that doesn't burn the milk. Menu is quite straight forward, would be nice to see a few original drinks. Offering two nice single origin pour-overs. I personally like the minimalist style. Bakery options look quite nice.
Disappointing. My first, last and only visit to 29th PC this morning, Thursday, March 24, 2022. Hoping for a decent cup of coffee and maybe a pastry or baked good on a dreary overcast day. The vibe of the place, in my estimation, had the charm of an interrogation room only with better lighting. I ordered black coffee in a go-cup determining my car was a better atmosphere. There were 2 glass cake domes and a glass cookie jar that was the extent of display for pastry or baked goods. At 10:30 a.m. the cookie jar was empty, one of the cake domes only had crumbs on its platter and the second dome had 3 chocolate brownies and a lone blonde brownie. I passed. The black coffee was weak.
Nice coffee shop! Barista was very helpful. The pour-over was strong and flavorful. Wish they had a larger selection of pastries.
I’m just loving the whole chill vibe here, a laid back atmosphere, clean lines, it speaks to my minimalistic mind. This place is all about brewing a perfect cup of coffee whether you want espresso, a latte, a pour-over, or just a brewed cup of coffee. They pay attention to details like the pressure applied to beans and the temperature of the water they use to express the coffee. This isn’t char-bucks, this is a coffee lovers paradise. The menu is minimal too, attention again to the coffee and the process; when you come here, don’t expect a bunch of trendy syrupy drinks.Come here if you appreciate coffee. It’s soon darn good.
Bitter espresso and they were low on coffee on a Sunday morning. I understand they are new so only one star off. It's going to be tough to compete with Amouri or another coffee place where they roast their own coffee and offer a menu that is 10x larger.
Good ambiance & tasty coffee. Appreciate the good service. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for cozy coffee place & also hangout area too.
Good cappuccino. awesome blueberry scone. Friendly staff. Chill music. The arrangement leaves a lot of room for space. I think this could be improved. But I’m not one to complain. I’m glad it’s in the community. I will go again!
If you want a good cup of coffee come here. We've been here three times and each time the coffee was consistently delicious. It's the type of coffee that doesn't need sugar. We've ordered the cappuccino and the flat white. We'll certainly be back.
