TGIF. it's Friday and stopped by to order take away. While drinking a great mixed drink I awaited the order. Two Tuna Bowls one fried shrimp tacos with an appetizer of tuna bites. Took them home for a romantic dinner with my bride. EXCELLENT!
We went here for dinner and it was a great place. The staff were so friendly and the service was great. The patrons there were all great too. The food was a little pricey but well worth it. It was sooo yummy. Steve had a chicken salad sandwich and couldn't even finish it. I had the Brisket platter and it was so amazing. Will most definitely go there again. The only thing is it was a bit cramped but not to bad.
Do NOT order for pickup.Not sure how dine-in is, but I was forced to pre-pay for what amounted to a kids meal.Ordered the chicken tender platter with extra white sauce. This is what I got. With one small cup of sauce.My sides amounted to most of the food. But if I had wanted that I would've ordered them instead and saved 60%.Anyway, go inside and make sure you get your money's worth.
Brunswick Stew is the best I’ve ever had along with the collard greens, sweet potato fries, and so much more! The meats are so tender and cooked perfectly! No place better to have BBQ and brisket in Suffolk!!! My family absolutely loves the food and service here! Keep up the great work Mason’s!! Highly recommend this place to all! Thank you for your wonderful and delicious food!!
We have eaten there at least a dozen times. While checking today's hours I noted negative reviews and just do not get it. Not only is the signature BBQ dishes great and service fine, the Tuna Street Tacos have always been grilled and otherwise prepared just as perfectly as I could ever wish for, rare as ordered. Sometimes I forgo the taco shells and get the rest as an entre, no extra charge that other restaurants add. They were great to be open during COVID and we thank them for being there for us. Stopped here for lunch and was not disappointed! The crab artichoke dip was amazing (love the pita chips!) The Brunswick stew was some of the best I've ever had... lots of veggies and tons of shredded meat. A little sweet and a little tangy. The brisket platter was four huge slices of brisket and two generous sides (fries were crispy and delicious; the baked beans were tangy and thick.) Even the sweet tea was good.
Found out about this small restaurant from friends. Have only been there 3 times total so far (I will become a regular there) but have thoroughly enjoyed all 3 meals. Have gotten basically the same thing each time, beef brisket, pulled pork barbecue, and the 1st time I went, I got ribs (the Sampler - brisket, barbecue, and ribs). Each time I got their slaw and potato salad as my sides, along with sweet tea to drink.The meals have been consistently good all 3 times. I had only had beef brisket one time previously in my life when I was in Nashville, but this is as good as what I had in Nashville. The barbecue is vinegar based and is more of a pulled style style in that it is fairly large pieces, but very tender. The ribs that I had the 1st time that I went were very tasty and tender. The only reason that I have not had them again is that I fell in love with the brisket and Q and can't eat that much. The ribs are served with a ketchup baketchup base sauce that is very tasty. They also bring a tray of 6 different sauces that you can use on any of their Dishes, all of different styles.I had been looking for a restaurant that served beef brisket since Nashville. I have found it!!!!! The Q and Ribs are just icing on the cake!
My first visit to this restaurant, ordered wings, and appetizer. I was not impressed. The wings were very salty, appetizer was missing the dip. Food medoicre at best. I will stick with Wild Wing Cafe from now on.
Recently went because of the reviews and pictures of the wings. I orders 12 wings, and 2 burgers. The wings were not good.. they were a little hard and the seasoning wasn't great either! My husband and son said the burgers were pretty good. I would give it another try... just wouldn't order the wings again!
