Great food and ambience, service was outstanding. Just a little pricey for Suffolk.
We celebrated our anniversary at Amadeo's with an early evening reservation. We were greeted warmly and very impressed with the acknowledgement of our anniversary and congratulatory wishes. The service and food was very good. The one issue we brought to the manager's attention was the very poor choice of music. It ruined the vibe of a fine dining restaurant. He said they were going to make an adjustment on the selection of music.
We were here on Friday and the General Manager (Dave I think was his name) was very professional in his dress, grooming and manner of being a host. It was just like being in a restaurant in Italy. He made us feel we were in his home. However, when we returned Sunday, there was a different host who was the opposite of Friday's host in every way. Many local restaurants on Sunday are lined up with people waiting to get in but there were only 2 other tables of people in the restaurant while we were there. I have no complaints about the food at all and rate it very high, but a host can really make or break a restaurant.
Excellent restaurant. The food, service, and ambiance are all right on par for a great evening out. This is the best Italian restaurant in the Hampton Roads area.
Very disappointing and i used to love to eat here. Definitely need to hire better help.

food was outstanding. Service was great though my order was messed up. Manager came around to check on us and made us feel welcome. Manager came around again once he found out my order was messed up and corrected it.
I have dined at Amedeos a couple of times but this instance I took out of town guests who had not been there before. Their review was that food service atmosphere was all excellent and worth coming back.
The drinks were strong and delicious. The meals & atmosphere were amazing. Even the service was above & beyond. Will definitely be coming back.
Our anniversary date at Amadeoâs was awesome. The staff were friendly and struck a fantastic balance of attention and time alone on our date. The food was fresh and delicious. The drinks were phenomenal. Worth it.
