We were so fortunate to collaborate with The Don's Pizza for a huge community event at my school. They worked so hard to help us provide FREE pizza slices to our families! I think they may have served close to 700 pizzas over two hours?!?! They added a "coolness" factor by having a portable brick oven to cook right on the spot!They were so kind and caring every step of the way and had smiles on their faces with hundreds of people in their line. And the pizza?? It was AMAZING!! Everyone raved that it was "the best slice they'd ever had"!! We are so thankful for this community connection and hope to collaborate with them again! Thank you, The Don's!
10 years in restaurants. The Dons is hands down the best pizza in NoVa. Let me make this clear;1. Bryan. Absolute amazing service. You are the man. Would hire him in a second. Thank you.2. Consistency. Food is constant. No flaws ever. Hand made dough with a well kept wood fire stove. Toppings are fresh.Everything about this place is what you want out of a restaurant. Please take the time to come here.
I recently went there as my first visit. I ordered create my own pizza. The pizza was good. However, after I paid for my pizza. I saw on the receipt that I was charged for service fee. This place basically charge for service fee, which is why I'm giving this place a four star rather than a five star. Have I known this place charges service fee, I wouldn't have gone here. I understand the economy is bad, but it would be nice to know in advance that this place, The Don's Wood Fired Pizza charge for service fee. I personally do not go to any places that charges service fee. I believe all businesses must pay their employees correctly/fairly. Having a tip jar is nice to have on display to let customers to choose to tip any of the workers, instead of having a service fee and have an option for tiping. That does not make any sense for me.
Very good pizza. Recommend eating it right there, fresh out of the oven. Watch out for salad...we ordered a small and it was plenty for 3-4 people (they have another that is even larger). Homemade mozzarella cheese on salad and bruschetta bread is delicious. Free drink refills. Patio and limited inside seating.
Hands down the best local restaurant around town. The pizza tastes so flavorful and good and my personal favorite item on the menu is actually a sandwich called the Don's Italian. I wouldn't recommend getting pizza by the slice because it is a bit pricey, but I love everything about this place, including the kind workers.
Best pizza I’ve had since moving to the area. Sicilian was superb and had a nice kick to it. Sauce fresh and toppings fresh. Even got a complimentary soda on the house while waiting. Great food and people all around. Will be back
I’m extremely picky when it comes to pizza. This is the best pizza around hands down! I’ve also had their meatballs, meatball sub and Greek salad which were all delicious. Can’t go wrong with The Don’s!
Wonderful pizza, as usual! Pepperoni, sausage and pineapple & ham! Staff exceptional. Good prices. You gotta go here.
By far the best pizza in the area. Hands down. Pizza is excellent and is wood fired. Staff is friendly and service is quick. The desserts are from Junior's, enough said.
The pizza by the slice were delicious. Extremely light, you could eat multiple slices and not feel gross.
