Ordered from Door Dash like 5 hours before they closed. Said 45-55 minutes. Food came 90 minutes later. Had a small thin layer of rice on the bottom to the point I can see the tin foil through the grains of rice. Dasher had to wait 20+ minutes at the restaurant for the food to be made which was already 30 minutes after the order was placed.

I have ordered online and their food is decent but this is not an appropriate place for families to dine in. When i visited, every table in the restaurant had a hookah and the complete dining area filled with the smoke. Some people were playing cards as well. We left immediately.Definitely not a place to dine in with family.It looked like a hookah bar instead of a restaurant.

Great Experience. Best Hookah/Shisha in town. They serve illy coffee too and a wide variety of really good teas. They recently upgraded the entire place and the interior designer did a really good job. As far as their food - Makani platter is great but I have also tried their Egyptian Entrees (foul / falafel / Kebda / Sujuk) entrees and they were amazing. Overall I would highly recommend this place for a full Mediterranean experience with hookah in an upscale lounge experience.

I have been coming here since 2016. I couldn’t believe that I can truly find a unique service with quality. The vibes and team members along with their great smile makes me like to come more often. The food is amazing, just the right portions and great prices. The hookah is the best in NOVA if not in the state. I have been around a lot and nothing can be compared to this one at Makani.The team members don’t turn over much and that tells you a lot about this management and how they keep this business open and running since 2010.I definitely would recommend this place for dine in or pickup. I wouldn’t use delivery unless it is needed because delivery partners like DoorDash or UberEats or GrubHub show me so much delay in delivery because of handling other orders so the way say.Definitely thumbs up for this place and their upbeat and beyond 5 stars service. Makani is one of the best places in the area if you want to work from while enjoying very good vibe and the wide range of food and drinks. The renovations were made recently puts Makani in the top list of lounges in northern Virginia.
I am a late night eater and always in search of halal food. These guys are always open but trust me the experience was not good. I gave them like three chances and ordered food three times late night just to make sure it might get better but unfortunately it’s the same. I ordered wings twice from DoorDash, there was no option to select the option either buffalo or hot sauce and they sent me fried tasteless wings with no sauce , the next time In additional instructions I mentioned hot sauce and instead of giving it separately they pour it all over the wings and when it was delivered to me the crisp was all gone.it’s a common sense to send sauce separately with wings instead of pouring it on in delivery orders. I ordered Philly steak it was good and chicken shawarma was the worst it was like tortilla came out of pack and they just wrap it on chicken. And the chicken touk was good though
Absolutely amazing! My friend and I came in for lunch on a whim, the service was fantastic, my salad was fresh and so flavorful. Nora the owner was so kind and welcoming!
