The restaurant is located in the mall for those who aren’t aware like I was.Stopped in for lunch today. The food was amazingly delicious. Service was pretty bad, hence the 3 stars. They looked pretty short staffed -the bartender was also serving tables. Chips tasted stale and cold but the hot salsa was delicious.We had the Patron Pork Burrito which was 10/10. The meat was juicy, tender and full of flavor.We also tried the Chorizo Enchiladas & these were also 10/10. Loved the grilled vegetables addition.Will definitely give this place another try.
I absolutely love this location of Los Toltecos! I'm also lucky enough to live close by so I actually eat here pretty regularly for lunch/dinner which has always been served quickly and totally tasty. The staff is very nice and attentive and checks with you often to ensure your meal is going well. The restaurant is very spacious inside, so much so that even when it's busy it still does not feel overcrowded. There's a bar seating area, regular tables and booths, and an outside eating area. I have never had to wait for a table here, which is another reason I love this location. It's located just inside the Dulles mall like as soon as you walk in. So whether you are just there to eat and leave or eat and shop, it's in the perfect location either way. I will say parking is pretty awful near this entrance of the mall because it's like one of the main entrances and it's right across from the Cheesecake Factory. So, depending upon what time of day you go, there could be a lot of delivery trucks or just cars in general parked out front. You also have to be cautious of those just driving by looking for parking and patrons walking about. Despite the exterior hurdles, it's definitely a restaurant worth visiting.
I love the decoration of the restaurant. Over all the food was great but the service not so much. The server all he did was take our order and got us drinks and the check. My husband asked him a question about the menu and he looked lost didn't know how to answer.. Maybe he was new. We were sitting at a table by the bar and all they played was loud reggaeton which gave me a headache.
If you are looking for good Mexican food just go for it. We tried couple of tacos and chimichanga they both were great.
Customer service outstanding, as for the food I could only say the same. Great place great atmosphere my new go to place.
Something has changed over the last 6 months. The atmosphere is not as fun. The food has dropped in quality and getting the food you ordered can be a challenge as servers don't seem to listen or care. Structurally the restaurant is very attractive. Colorful furniture and wall murals. The music can be good. We've moved on to other Mexican restaurants. Plenty in the area.
Well...seems like night and day for service. Was there yesterday (12th) and it was fantastic. Sat the bar and bartender ( Rafael ) was attentive...friendly and overall great. Tried a few different margaritas and the pork enchiladas. Very very good. At actually reminded me a little of days gone by with Chi Chi's ( for some of those who remember ;) ) ...fresh warm chips and homemade salsa.Then I show up today..maboit same time... And they guy today almost couldn't be bothered. I sat for a while at the bar again... They brought chips and salsa... Chips were cool and chewy...not fresh from the warmer and the bartender was too busy chatting with the staff to even bring me a menu. So after several minutes I left.... And went to cheesecake factory ( not more than 100 ft away). You would think if someone walks in....you do you damnedest to keep them there instead of elsewhere. Well...there loss today..mmamdnif be hard pressed to try my chance again...unless I knew who was working.mm how sad is that.
I ordered the food from UberEats today. They forgot to include the foods except for the rice, veggies, and bag of chips. I had to visit the location twice because of that. I just got an extra bag of chips for the missing food, and the food was spilled on the bag. I love Los Toltecos, but this was not a pleasant experience.
Delicious food & drink at a reasonable price! Great service! Very clean too.
Not terrible but not good either. Steak way over cooked, queso not very good, kind of bland. Taco salad with ground beef good. They also messed up my order. Was told specifically they had an item and when it came wrong I called back and someone else told me they didn’t carry it. Too much frustration for food that’s not even very good.
