Don't know what has happened here. Food and service has gone downhill. Ordered on 4/4/2022 - Several items on PuPu platter were over-cooked/old, specifically ribs and teriyaki beef, gave that to the dog. Wings tasted like they were recooked. Missing dipping sauce. My Sesame Chicken had maybe a dozen seeds sprinkled on top, no sesame flavor and the meat was very chewy, tasted more like old pork. On the flip side, the "Specialty"/more expensive dishes were perfect - Gen. Tsos and the Seafood with extra garlic cooked to perfection. Might try again as I have had many good experiences here over the 10+ years but this visit was sub-par. Was actually ill from eating the overloaded MSG food, the Egg Drop Soup had so much corn starch added that I had to thin it out with water (you could have cut it with a knife when cold, it was so thick). Stay away from the nasty PuPu "platter"!!
This food is marginal at best. You can do a better job of getting authentic asian food flavor, with a little effort, from your pots and pans! Don't spend the money. Go to the web, get a decent recipe, go to the grocery store, you know the rest. I did delivery, they were pretty fast, although the driver didn't know where I was. The hotel I stayed at was only about 4 miles from the restaurant. No worries there, they were close when the other hotel had to give them directions!
Food is ok. But reason why I give one star is because everytime I go here, I am so tired of getting home with my food and there’s no utensils! No fork, spoon, napkins , ducks sauce or anything!!! Please stop being cheap and add utensils in the bag!!! I shouldn’t have to ask. Start adding them and I’ll update my review.
We had ordered from since summer of 2021 and have screamed about this food so good, best around! Until our Christmas Eve dinner. Food was late, burnt fried dumpling, burnt spring rolls, thia yellow noodle shrimp just like shrimp lo mein, and they forgot the hot and sour soup on a 158 $ order. Never again!
This was my first time ordering since I moved here,and I'm from D.C./MD. area where there's nothing but the BEST chinese food so I was very scared to order any chinese food in VA. PERIOD! especially after all of the bad reviews.....but I have to say my food was actually pretty good .
I picked up food from here a few times to deliver and haven’t tried it myself. After seeing a cook pick their nose and then handle food with their bare hands I don’t think I’ll be trying it at all. The conditions inside are pretty gross and the service is SLOW & RUDE
Unprofessional guy at the front. Place looked as if they were moving out or moving I with the amount of stuff they had in the seating area. Handled money and food without washing hands. Definitely felt as if they were bothered I walked in.
I've been ordering for about 3 years now never had an issue. I ordered today & there was a termite in my food!!!!!! I am very disgusted I will NEVER order from here again.
Ordering take out online was easy. Food came 15 Minutes earlier. String Bean Chicken with fried rice was delish.
They person who answered the phone kept interrupting while I was ordering by asking " is that it" repeatedly. So much so they got my order wrong. The food was also gross. My egg roll tasted greasy and recooked. I would not ever order from here again. $40 wasted on two meals and chicken wings! I should have read the other reviews before ordering. That is the human shrimp.
