My daughter (toddler) loved the Portuguese rice. I loved the coleslaw, Yummy! I loved the chicken too except I found the skins too salty....that Mango Orange lemonade....loved it!!! overall the food was GREAT!!! Plus, the African music!! ohhh, the clean bathrooms too! Absolutely a clean environment!!

Amazing place and excellent food. The secret of success is in their sauces.Whenever I visit DC I don't miss the place. I wish they have more franchises open back in Raleigh but right now my closest is this location on DC.I like the lemon herb, original peri peri and medium sauce.

Got a table for two. There was barely anyone sitting inside. When the food came out, it turned out mine wasn't ready for another 15+ minutes. However, the nice server took care of me. Great service from the beginning and my food was very good as well. Would have liked to speak with the manager, but the manager walked pass by us and asked everyone, but us, about how the food or service. Minus one ⭐

I’m 23 years old and have a valid drivers license but was denied alcohol because my ID is vertical. Not expired, vertical. Which I think is absolutely ridiculous because I literally work as a bar tender and have never heard of such a thing. Also, my boyfriend was missing one of his sides. Ordering from your phone at your table is efficient on time for the business, but is ineffective in regards to the quality of service. Why exactly am I expected to tip my “servers” before receiving service? We were expected to enter our orders into the system our selves, grab our own glasses and drink, and grab our own silverware (we had no idea where the silverware was for a while). They couldn’t even get my order correctly and denied me alcohol for literally no reason. I feel like if they took my order, there wouldn’t have been as many issues. My boyfriend is a long-time fan of Nados (he’s from England) but was not at all impressed with the American version. He even said the portion sizes are smaller here than they are in England, which is definitely a first for the US!

Got takeout on Saturday night to have casual and relatively light dinner with family. Ordered a half lemon herb chicken with two sides (roasted cauliflower and Brussel sprouts) and a custard tart. The restrained portion sizes and prices were welcome as were the milder flavors from South African inspired food like these offerings. The chicken was cooked well and not too dry or over seasoned. The cauliflower had a turmeric look and proved satisfying as did the brussel sprouts. The custard tart was small (with a price to match) and helped me not overindulge with this straightforward palate cleanser. Overall I thought I received a decent value for the meal and a guiltless feeling for the rest of my night. I could eat this food again.

The good news first. The food is tasty. If you like spicy, and want something other than Tex-mex, you will like this place. The decor is exceptional, and they use real plates and glasses. The bad news. The portions are below average. Don’t sit at a booth if you are over 5’10”—-you will sink in uncomfortably. But the lack of service is why they earned a two. Very disappointing. You have to order and pay using your phone, this includes the tip—odd. When we asked for silverware the “server” just pointed to a side table with sauces to indicate we were to go get it and then walked away. Funny thing, the restaurant was packed with staff, including two people standing by the door. This place has great potential. I will return when management brings back waiters and waitresses.

Had to wait much longer than the time mentioned on the website, then they forgot part of our order and didn’t pick up the phone when we called to get a partial refund. Half of the chicken we ordered was burnt, and the PERinaise sauce that we paid a dollar for was nowhere near enough for the side order of fries. One of the sides was also not what we ordered (and what was received didn’t taste particularly good). Will be going to the Nando’s in Mosaic from now on.

Poor service but the food is still good. Last month I brought my mom here, we ordered and paid. We waited 15 min at our table until we realized something was wrong. Somehow after ordering and getting a receipt they didn’t have us in the system. We simply left as we didn’t want to waste more time. This second time they were in disarray. The four of us got our food at random times and they kept bringing other people’s food..

The customer service was PHENOMENAL Kim was an absolute sweetheart and made the experience all the much better she was so kind and paitent when we were deciding

Friendly and clean and the made-to-order food arrived timely and hot. Can't ask for much more for a dine in experience. Prices are getting higher but that seems to be going on with a lot of places in the area. At least here they were fully staffed for a Saturday afternoon and all working well together.
