We order chicken corn soup, chicken pokorah, fried rice, Orange chicken and seasme chicken, and crispy beef.1) chicken corn soup. Rate 2 There was hardly any chicken piece in it, yellowish, there was some kind of oil in it. You won't be able to drink it with soya sauce , other ingredients. It's too watery for my taste2) chicken pokorah, I'll rate 2, coating had no spice or masala , too dry and cabbage salad that came with it was dull,3) the only difference between Orange chicken and seasme chicken was that seasme chicken had seasme sead sprinkle on it. Both cost 16 dollars, hardly had 10 chicken chunks in it. I'll rate 34) crispy beef: I'll rate this 5, the best dish they have it,'s sweet, crispy and crunchy. It had good quantity. They automatically add 20 percent tips to your bill, then again have tip option while you paying the bill by credit card. I don't like when restaurants do that because tips depends on service not there right. Tip money should go to the Waiter and helpers not to owner.
Yet again this place disappoints me.We ordered dinner from here it was cold stale and very hard to swallow. This place used to be good 5-6 years ago now it’s garbage. It’s like they don’t care anymore I doubt there making it fresh. Hey anything to make a quick buck huh ?♂️Disappointment.
They have a big menu, we decided to have wings(which was recommended by the server) and chicken lo mein. Wings were pretty good but not very spicy. Chicken lo mein was a little disappointing, did not taste fresh. Mango lassi however was legit, had one there and had one mango lassi to go.
I visited this place many times in 2018. The food was always good. After years I came there by expecting a decent lunch. But beef lo mein was microwave cooked and not edible, fried rice was way below the average and no taste. Mongolian beef was okay. You mentioned shortage in wall hung paper but as far as I know there is no food shortage in any halal place. I gave 3 stars for the sake of 2018’s visits but today’s rating is definitely 1.
I came in and ordered a dish. I substituted the white rice for fried rice. When I got my bill, I realized they charged me more for the substitution than what the menu had said. I mentioned this to the owner and she said that the paper menu was wrong and we needed to use the mobile menu. No one told us this, but she lied and said oh I already told you. Even then, the price we were charged was more than the price on the mobile menu. Always make sure you verify and check your bill when ordering from this restaurant.
I would recommend this place based on getting takeout from them. They have a good online ordering process (using a 3rd party site I think). Provided text messages for confirmation and ready for pick up. Their food is excellent. Many varieties of fried rice, soup, appetizers, and entrees. And, what I like is that each of the traditional dishes allows you to choose specifically your favorite variation. For example, white or dark chicken meat, or fried or white rice. The only challenge is finding the location as it is tucked behind the Giant in a large shopping center. Although the address is Commerce St and you can see it from the street, you have to get into the shopping center and then weave back towards Commerce St. Just find the Giant and go around the back of Giant towards the left hand side of Giant.
We ate yesterday it was really good , customer service was excellent .. all dishes including shrimp vegetables, chicken corn soup, crispy fry chicken , loMein noodles were good except one of the long sting type chicken ( crispy chicken maybe) was way too chewy that I couldn’t even bit or chew , we brought it home but had to waste it . I should have returned it . Everything else we enjoyed with family . Thankyou so much.
We ordered 8 different menus to go, out of 8 items only string green beans were not fully cooked it taste like frozen! Definitely going back.
Amazing food with one of the biggest selections of items. Took me and my kids a long time to pick. The food was also halal. I will definitely come back.
Chicken and shrimpw lo main noodles, Hakka crispy fried chicken. Awesome taste. Great customer service. Best halal Chinese food in northern Virginia area.
