I love Korean barbecue and I have had my fair share of it. I have been to quite a few of them and this place is worth every penny. The food is great the quality of the meat is superior and ambience are great. I enjoyed my food but I also enjoyed the present and knowledgeable staff. Shout out to Will for providing a great service and a wonderful experience.
There’s lots of Korean BBQ spots to chose from in Northern Virginia, but this absolutely stands out as one of the best.The meat was extremely high quality (especially the beef rib), the service was top notch, and the vibe was upbeat and fun.I recommend getting the “all you can” eat option for a very reasonable (at least as far KBBQ is concerned) $35/person.
Well, I really liked the overall quality of food and meats.However, there are some issues in service aspect.No host was around when we walked in. We waited and waved hands to be recognized after for a while(5-7mins).Waitress and waiters need more trainings providing one stop service instead of delivering food that com out from kitchen. As they come to the table, scan through what the table would need, and then make one stop trip when they come back.I’m sure they will get better as they experience Korean BBQ service as well.Ramen machine is broken, which is disappointing. Rice ran out. It took some time to cook. LOLBathroom maintenance is needed. No soap in women’s room. Overall long lagging time between orders. Ppl expected good service then disappointed easily.Table next to us was complaining to the manager today.I hope they improve their management and service as soon as possible. I will defiantly come back for food! Loved the soybean paste soup, bean sprout, seasoned sauces, and meats. Good banchans: just needs a little larger portion of onions and radish please.
We went in last night for AYCE. It’s a bit pricey for AYCE at $39 per person, however, they do have intestines on the menu, and that’s considered a delicacy and is expensive.They are in the “soft opening” phase right now, but we had a great experience! The meats and the side dishes were delicious and very high quality. The quality is not even comparable to other AYCE KBBQ places we have been before.I highly recommend if you are fellow KBBQ lover!FUN FACT: they give you UNLIMiTED Korean ramen with all you can eat lol
If you are coming here for first time you want pick all you can eat , you get unlimited rice bowl and ramen for free and if you want more small sides you can just ask for more while your eat , if you pick combo set such as the pork , beef, or pork and beef combo together your limited for 1 bowl of rice and ramen. The steam egg along with the other side dish may overcrowded your table just be careful.
Not sure how they make revenue out of this quality meat. Foods are really good compare to Iron age, So (one in centreville). Grill size is also pretty big enough to rotate meat. Oh they also have korean ramen noodle maker!! With free of charge. Owner seems really confident on meat quality which I do agree with the owner.I also do agree with Sage about service here. Once this place get super busy, this place might face service issue. (Not saying server are mean or attitude)I will definitely come back here again.

Opens for soft opening. This is similar to Gopchang story, but more specialty on Makchang. If you are Korean you know it is really rare and difficult to find this kind of restaurant in this area that is why I really appreciated having this near my house. Surprisingly, it was beyond my expectations. Some people think it is expensive, but you will find out it is reasonable price when you understand menus. Definitely, visit occasionally.
The food is very delicious and perfect and server's service mind was very good. However, their cleanliness is subpar. When the server took us to the table, I was able to see some red color stains(I'm sure it's from spicy food) on the table, and the grill was not clean perfectly. I saw some greasy part on the grill. Also, I saw a hair in one of sauces, but they immediately brought another one. I'm saying this because I hope they improve and are able to keep their business, not for criticizing. I love that they opened a Korean restaurant here. I hope they take care of cleaning better. Everything is good except cleaning problem. My husband and I enjoyed the food very much!
