Using a wrong type of bean sprouts for pad thai, and the smell from the bean sprout ruins the flavor of pad thai

Absolutely delicious. My husband and I ordered tofu pad tai mixed vege rice and spring rolls for delivery. It was delivered very fresh and hot. All the food was wonderful. Will definitely order again!

One of only two NoVA Thai restaurants on the Thai Select list “blessed” as authentic by the Thai government (thaiselectusa dot com). Excellent food, great portions, and an outstanding value. My new go to Thai spot; I’m so happy to have authentic Thai food so close to home.

They were one of my favorite Thai restaurants until tonight. Found plastic pieces from the food when I almost finished it. They were not even busy when I picked up my order around 5pm.

We went for lunch and it was empty, pre Covid that would usually be a warning sign but it’s an new weird world. We had the larb gai for an appetizer and it was excellent, the chicken yellow curry which was very good and the pork pad krapow which was almost like a Thai version of sausage and pepper’s. The service was great and I would return here anytime I am in the area and looking for Thai food .

Since moving here, I have frequented this restaurant with my husband whenever we want to order Thai food. Because of COVID, we haven’t been able to dine in, but whenever we pick up food, it is always hot and tastes great. For Pad See Ew and Thai Fried Rice, this is our go-to. We’ve tried a couple other places, but they always fall short of Kanjana!

For several years, I had been on the quest to find the best Thai food in northern Virginia. I stopped searching about 3 years ago once I discovered Kanjana Thai. Let me tell you... Their food is uniquely authentic and delicious. Not just the food, but also their cocktails! It does not disappoint. It's McDonalds-like consistency can guarantee you the same delicious quality each visit. Not to mention, their staff is super sweet and treats their "regulars" (aka me) and newbies the same, and that's saying something. Highly recommend!!!

I have no idea how Kanjana has such high ratings! We went due to these ratings and had a horrible experience. It took a while to get seated and once seated it took over 5 minutes to have anyone say hello, provide a menu, and take our drink order. We never received an alcoholic drink list and that others have mentioned yet the menu was the same on both sides, so there was definitely room to put drinks on one of the sides. Water is being served in red plastic cups... this is not a frat party, this is a dine-in restaurant and I expect a glass. If you have plastic cups left over from the height of the pandemic, use them for children, not responsible paying adults! The soup was warm but not hot and then the chicken and it was slimy, luckily today I am not sick as that occurred to me after I finish the cup. My pad Thai had none of the little red tofu pieces in it and no peanuts sprinkled over it, standard for the pad Thai dish. Both the soup and the pad Thai tasted like they ordered too much sugar at one point and we're trying to get rid of it. If I wanted sweet, I would have ordered dessert. I wanted savory with lots of flavors and it was definitely lacking anything but sweet, including no color as the green onions were also missing. The pad thai was basically noodles with a sweet sauce and meat, and it's my standard go-to dish at Thai restaurants. Speaking of dessert, we were never offered a dessert menu or asked if we would like anything. I assume they have the typical desserts and I absolutely love mango with sticky rice but when offered the check, after having the experience we had, it didn't even cross my mind until I paid the bill that there was no dessert. And the service, if I can call it that, was severely lacking. There is no reason it takes 5 to 10 minutes to take a drink order, bring a requested item or drink refill, bring the check, or return with my credit card. We spent at least half an hour of the just over an hour we were there waiting for the server. Needless to say, Kanjana was a waste of time and money! And there are no photos as I don't take pictures of food I don't like, I have to really love it and has to have a fantastic presentation.

Everything is sweet, except the service.Took a long time for a server to come take a drink order. For some reason the water came in a red solo cup while the soda was in a real glass. The chicken in the Tom kha soup had a slimy texture. Both the soup and the two types of noodle dishes we ordered were excessively sweet; the pad thai lacked the customary crunchy peanut bits and little tofu shreds. And the server forgot about our existence for a long time.No reason I would return.

First time ordered a pickup from Kanjana. Absolutely loved it!! Drunken noodles and Penag curry was spot on!! Will again order very soon!!
