Della J’s has consistently good, fresh, soul food at a reasonable price point. The portions are generous and I have never been disappointed with anything I’ve tried on the menu. The staff is accommodating, whether you are ordering takeout or stopping in. I’ve gotten the catfish quite a few times. The Brussels sprouts are on point. The sweet potatoes and Mac and cheese are a must if you’re feeling overwhelmed by the options. This is the kind of place you come with family the first time around so you can try a little bit of everything the menu has to offer. Definitely worth the trip out to Springfield.
After 9 hours of driving, my family needed some real food, well cooked. This place blew our minds. From blackberry margaritas to homemade chocolate milk. Fried green tomatoes, shrimp grits, bbq chicken with a kick, pulled pork… even the French fries were over the top. The best part though, was our server (I think Alexis)- I’m terrible with names. She was the kindest, friendliest and most helpful person we’ve met on vacation. We’ll gladly travel from Orlando to eat here again!

I found out about this place while driving for a delivery app. The smell of the food or these deliveries made me want to try it. I went with my partner and this food was exactly what I was craving. This food taste home-cooked and is very fresh. I had the chicken strips mac & cheese and mashed potatoes and all were delicious. We also got the fried green tomatoes as a starter which was also excellent. My boyfriend got the fried chicken collard greens and mac & cheese and all his stuff was amazing as well cooked to perfection. We share the peach cobbler with ice cream and it went to was just the most amazing thing we’ve ever tasted. If you were looking for a home cooked meals that taste fresh and delicious please try this place out. The service was also prompt friendly and very nice.
Went there for dinner we had a party of 6. The food and the service were excellent. Everyone liked their food. I had the catfish and potato salad, greens. The hush puppies and chicken taquitos were our appetizers they were good also. When I am in town I will definitely be back.

This was recommended by a coworker. I wasn't disappointed. The mac-n-cheese was hands down the best I've had. The chicken was fried to perfection. Its was crisp and golden, not extra crispy, just right. The atmosphere is inviting and I had great conversation with someone (either owner or manager).Definitely one of my go to's when I'm in Springfield.
