Coffee shops are a dime a dozen. Most think they don’t need to provide good product because you take what they give. Cervantes is not that. They serve fantastic coffee that taste great but is also something different. Will be stopping back in when I’m in the area. People who work here are authentic and happy. Thanks Lily!
Visited Cervantes for an occasional weekend coffee fix. It’s hit or miss for me but my wife loves it. Cool looking place, staff is hit or miss as well for a local coffee shop. I will say, today my latte was amazing! Another good thing is the homemade “pop-tarts”. Give them a try.
I ordered a Latte online and I went to the roaster to pick up my Latte. Let me share with you about my experience. The parking was confusing, all the spots had some sort of sign on them, non of the parking spaces say anything about “coffee” and they all say something about restrictions and tow-away zone.Walking in to the coffee shop, the shop looked like they didn’t reorganize the shop from the previous day, signs on stands were like crooked (I fixed one of them lol) The fridge was not organized and filled with full bottles in a row, the staff was scrambling.“I just wish that they would walk into the store as if they were a customer and think about their appearance”.I must say that my latte was delicious and that scores points!
Stopped by for a shot of espresso on a roadtrip going through the DC area. Liked the shot of espresso so much I purchased the same beans for my home espresso machine. The staff was was extremely courteous and answered any questions I had. There is seating through the area with the cash register. Looking forward to stopping by again when im in the area!
Walking in you're hit with this lovely aroma of beans being roasted and that alone was amazing. Ordered am oatmilk latte and since seasonal drinks were still available I threw in a shot of the gingerbread syrup, very delicious! The foam was nice and dense and coffee was very very good. 5/5 recommend and 5/5 will return
Coffee is solid. My perception is that they are very understaffed, and the young people that work there are kind but very slow. If there’s a line of 3 customers you might as well walk out because you will be waiting 10+ minutes just to put your order in. Ordering online is the best move. Also parking is horrible and there’s maybe 3 legal spots to park in.
This is a very nice coffee shop in an improbable location. Even with GPS it was a bit hard for me to find - but I'm glad I did. Interior decoration is chic industrial. Seating is well spaced and comfortable. Place has a nice vibe - and all of that would be irrelevant if the coffee was not very good. Glad to have come across this place.
This hands down the best source for whole beans for my homemade espresso-based adventures. I've tried Stumptown, other nationally/internationally award winning espresso beans, Misha's, Phils/whatever other California based expansions, and I keep finding myself coming back and saying wow at every cup from Cervantes. If you haven't tried it, you must go and have a cup from there - the baristas are excellent in shop, and if you buy the beans and take them home you should get excellent results as well! The main drawbacks to this place, are the location (very very limited parking - I have come here multiple times and left without coffee due to the impossible parking/aggressive towing nearby) and the timing (ridiculous store hours which makes it impractical if you're working normal hours). Still if I'm in the area I try to make a stop, and luckily the beans are now found at the Wegmans' location in Alexandria!! They used to have this San Ignacio blend, which I haven't seen recently but the Quixote blend is really really good for espresso.
A small shop and coffee roastery tucked away in an industrial park. They mostly use fair trade beans and their storefront is attractive and well maintained, but seating inside and outside is limited. There is a selection of pastries; the ones we had were very good. The coffee is nicely prepared and the owners are very friendly. The main strike against them is their location, but they are convenient to I-95 if you need a little refreshment on your journey.
I came to this coffee shop yesterday everything was great. It made me return the next day unfortunately the coffee was over roasted and bitter. I asked if the cappuccino is supposed to be bitter like this the lady said yes then I asked to give me a latte which she said will not be as bitter. By bitter I don’t mean pleasant bitterness that coffee have. I am a huge coffee person. I tried it in many different states and countries. What I didn’t like is that coffee was bitter like they over cooked those coffee beans and it was hard to drink it. I didn’t ask the lady to exchange my cappuccino neither she offered. Seems like staff doesn’t really care if you are enjoying it or not. I was super polite and super unsatisfied after coming back there again. The coffee made my stomach hurt really bad I am leaving this review right now and literally have pain in my stomach since the morning. 2 stars because yesterday coffee was good as I already mentioned.
