Just another fast food diner with some fancy history and stuff.Went there on a weekday night around 10pm. Ordered fish that was probably sourced from Costco or Walmart and then fried from frozen. It was okay.Sides that we ordered were not available and the sides actually served were basically microwaved and not fresh either. The bread was good though. They are known for their breakfasts. Maybe we will try one of those one day. But their dinner was disappointing.
Service from our waiter was sub par at best. His coworker on the other hand was very sweet. The food took a LONG time to come out for a place that wasn't exactly super busy. The food was fresh and delicious. I would say it was almost worth the wait. It was also VERY cold in there.from the ac.
Food was really good especially the hotcakes however it took a really long time for the food to come out even when there wasn't many people there. Also bring cash just in case. Not sure if their machine going down is a one off but I saw a few people get ripped off by the ATM machine in the diner that wasn't working properly.
My wife and I took our 9 year old grandson out for breakfast. My wife and I shared the Sampler and my grandson just wanted bacon and a hot chocolate which he loved. The scrambled eggs were shared by all three of us and we agreed they were very good. My wife and I shared the pancakes and we thought they were delicious. I think they use malt in their pancakes and it really gives them additional depth of flavor. The sausage was very good and not just packaged. The bacon was also good but a little dry. My only reason for debiting one star was the amount of noise not only from other diners but also from the kitchen where is seemed pots, pans and dishes were constantly being banged together. Our bill was a little high for just one full breakfast (almost $40) but the food was very good and the sampler was definitely built for 2
First time here and had the B&E Burger and it was great. The place was busy and staff did an excellent job keeping it all together. General Manager was engaged with the team and functions - it's refreshing to see an individual blend leadership and management for an effective result.
Went for a very early breakfast, the place is a mess despite at least five employees on site. There was food on the tables and floors everywhere you looked walking in. We had to ask someone to take our order after waiting 10m while we watched one man walk aimlessly around the dining area pretending to clean and clearly avoiding us. One star for the food and one star for the one man who actually took our order (plus also cleaned tables later, answered the phone, and handled takeout orders)
This diner from yesteryear featured the classic favorites. With 80’s and 90’s hits blaring from the kitchen, the aroma of the fried food took me back to a simpler time. The first bite of my country fried steak let me know that I was likely shortening my life, but it was truly worth it. I should have probably been eating salads long ago - and while they do also offer those here - that’s not really the point of an old time diner. When in Rome….go with the country fried steak - can’t go wrong.
In a nutshell, the food is absolutely great, and there's plenty of delicious options for whenever you're feeling hungry. However, it does feel like food takes a bit longer to prepare so you might be waiting a bit longer than expected, depending on when you visit. All in all it's a diner experience that anybody can enjoy.
Very surprised about the service tonight! Very slow, the chili came out cold & I saw they only put in the microwave to warm it up. It was still cold. I had to ask for sauce 2x. The place was dirty. Normally this place is good when we come for breakfast. Not tonight!!! So disappointed!
Very convenient hours and great service in my opinion. Their breakfast options are wide and accommodating.
