We have been a few times and the staff is always super friendly. All the options for toppings look very fresh. Have gotten gyro meat over rice both times with the chick peas and both the portion size and quality of the food is excellent. Good while hot, or as a leftover cold out of the fridge. The cinnamon rice pudding is also well worth asking for.
Really good chicken gyro. Very friendly and helpful staff. I could tell they had regulars, which is always a good sign. I thought pricing was good compared to the size of the gyro and considering the issues restaurants are facing right now.I’m not sure why a few people have said they won’t drive 30 minutes for it, evidently that’s a way to measure the quality of food. I thought it was good and for those of us that work nearby I will return for lunch or grab it on the way home for dinner.
So, I had to stop eating my food to make this review. So you know this is going to be good! This was my first time here, so I went ahead and go the "Combo Rice" which includes their chicken and lamb gyro.After opening up my takeout, you can smell the aroma hit you and right away you'll know this will be good. The chicken and lamb gyro is delicious, and with the chick pea and spinach mixed in together, this makes the perfect combo. They are very generous with their portions as well, you get a good amount of chicken and chunks of lamb! I think I just found a new spot that will replace Halal Guys for a while.As for the staff, everyone was incredibly friendly and respectful! They were all following Covid-19 protocols and kept the place clean.I will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!
Chicken over rice was average. It was not spicy. I love to eat my gyro spicy. Very friendly staff. They over hype their food too much. Good food but wouldn’t go drive 30 minutes for this. 6/10
Great food. Their Chicken platter is really good. Quesadilla is also very good. If you live in NOVA I’d definitely recommend checking this place out.Tip:Order 2 platters to get a free fries
Was looking for something to eat. Tired of burgers, pizza etc. dropped by to see what was different to try. Was I ever surprised. Wonderful people and great food. Know my new go to place. If not sure what you want. They will tell you what to try. Don’t sleep on this spot.
The food is excellent. We had the Simple Jack, and Chicken over rice which were both quite flavorful. The restaurant is clean, and the guys are super friendly and helpful.
This restaurant is a gem. It provides delicious Mediterranean staples in abundance for an incredible price. The toppings and ingredients are high quality and fresh. The attentive staff recommended I try the lamb and chicken combo bowl. It was delicious and the chickpea side was so filling I had enough for lunch the next day. I will definitely be back for more.
Went here for the first time yesterday Mar 2022 and WOW I am speechless and I been in the restaurant industry for 25 years and I was truly impressed by the quality, taste, quantity, flavor, authenticity of my meal. Now I had the lamb bowl with the rice, chickpeas, cucumbers tomatoes and onions on top covered with their popular white sauce and a couple of their green sauces. Do not be afraid of the sauce because it is what truly takes this dish to the next level!! Oh and the prices are very low a d they did not raise their prices after the pandemic which I think they should of but the fact that they did not, speeds volumes about the Ownership... they want you to come in and try because they want people to believe in them and I hope they take it to the top and stand next to Chipotle some day! .Bravo Big Red, you will be seeing me as a regular every Monday since I am down the street working around there on Mondays. Keep up the amazingness.
Big Red Halal is our favorite quick Afghan spot in Springfield. We pretty much order the same thing every time but when we've tried other items, they've always been great. Service is quick, quality is very good and the value is insane. We always have leftovers and spend about $10-15 per person which is nothing these days.
