The food was absolutely amazing!!! The wait staff were great, very helpful and attentive. Itâs not a fancy place (I wasnât expecting it to be) but the food just blew me away. We went for my husbands birthday and besides a very rude customer having a loud conversation via FaceTime, it was a great experience and weâll definitely be going back.

Incredible delicious food from the appetizers to desert. It has became our favorite âGo Toâ restaurant in the Lorton, Springfield, Fairfax are.
Only thing I donât like is the waiting time for the food to get to your table. Since they cook everything to order itâs first come first serve basis. Itâs like I am in Europe wherein everything is cooked fresh so the waiting time takes forever. Overall Afghan Bistro has good food and service.

Went to Afghan Bistro for the first time last night after reading the review on Open Table. What a find! I knew it was going to be a treat from the moment I sat down and they brought four delicious sauces and bread to the table. I had the pumpkin dumplings as an appetizer and the chicken lawaan as an entree. Both were wonderful! I will definitely be returning and will be sure to introduce my friends to this outstanding restaurant.
I've been coming here for years, but albeit not as often as I used to due to moving and changing jobs; before then, an average of twice a week, mostly for lunch. Now although it can take 40 or so minutes to get there and sometimes longer to get back home, my wife and I still occasionally make the trek for some of the best Afghan and middle eastern food around. The staff are always nice, friendly and prompt and the small but cozy restaurant is always clean. If I had anything to complain about, it would be that the portions seem to be getting smaller on the qormas. The actual meat put in them seems to be enough, but the vegetables and sauce (if part of the entree) seems to be dwindling. However, the food is delicious and the service is great, and me and my family will continue to make the trek for their delicious offerings.
