I was very excited to try homemade chicken and dumplings but found it quite disappointing. In my opinion, peas, carrots, and onions don't belong in it. The chicken was very tough and hard to chew. Their "flat dumplings" tastes like pasta and looks like it has been through a pasta roller. Flat dumplings should be much thicker and hand rolled. This tastes like thick chicken noodle soup, not chicken and dumplings.The staff was friendly and so I gave them 2 stars. Not sure that I'll be back. If I do, I will try something else.
I was not really impressed at all.Credit card machine downI assume I was dealing with owner he was not rude , but not friendly and I can understand that being in business ..My husband did not like the chicken tenders meal tempura batter and fries with skins and macaroni cheese this is not Grandma's Mac n cheese garlic bread a no go for me .. Lasagna was a 5 ⭐I drove a long ways because of good reviews try it yourself and leave a review
Yesterday, I worked over with a client and didn't leave work until after 6:30 pm. I wanted something good but not fast food. As I was driving down 419, I remembered Uncle D's and decided to stop. I saw that there were people eating and the door was unlocked so I went in. I must say, they were SO GRACIOUS to me because they had just closed and had almost finished with cleaning up in the back when I came in. They still fixed me my order which I enjoyed after a long long day. Their food is great, their hospitality is excellent. I cried on my way home because they made me feel like a part of the family. Amazing people work there and they know how to cook. God bless them.
I love ❤️ new places.They have great food. I had the chicken parm (this picture below shows it without cheese) with Caesar side salad. It was enough food to have it later too!They do take out and have a place to eat in!I will be back for sure.
I struggle to find something wrong with my food every time. Everything is excellent and great service. The pot roast is probably the best I’ve ever had in my life. Stop reading… go there!
Absolutely ginormous portions... I ordered two orders of chicken parm, which is something I wouldn't ordinarily eat, and we could have easily split one and still had leftovers ? It was ready quickly... staff was friendly... prices were very reasonable... and the food was still piping hot when I got home. I haven't heard anything but good things about Uncle D's and I can see why. Looking forward to trying more things here
Wow!!!! Soooo goood!!!! I had the bacon pimento burger for lunch and the fries were cooked to perfection!!! Everything was great including the service highly recommended!!!!
Went there the first time tonight and I must say I’m highly impressed with the quality of the food and I chatted with uncle d himself and he definitely makes you feel welcome and right at home being there. Thank you guys for the great experience and I’ll definitely will be a returning customer
This restaurant had great comfort food menu - without sacrificing seasoning and flavor. The pepper and sausage spaghetti was the best I’ve had at any restaurant. I was delighted with the fun themed golf motif and the cleanliness and efficiency of the staff!
Stopped in today for the first time. Food was really good. I am a junky for a good burger and some hushpuppies!. They had a BIG sign about their various Wagyu Beef burgers so I thought why not, lets see how they are. The ONLY reason I am giving a 4 is solely for my preference for the burger. If I could give a 4.5 I would. While it was good, I am not a huge fan of a preformed patty, no matter they type of meat. Seems to hold extra grease in there or something and not quite as flavorful as ground beef that is seasoned and pattied out by hand.. I could be wrong on the patty, but I dont think I am. Hushpuppies were on point and you get around 10 of them! I am definitely going to try many more items off the menu. Staff was very nice. Spot is super cute!
