Excellent service food was interesting and very good enjoyed the evening of great music and dancing in their wonderful atmosphere
I have been dining in the Regency Room of the Hotel Roanoke for many years and have been incredibly pleased to see the continual growth in every phase of fine dining. I had the duck entrée and was most pleasantly surprised at how well it was prepared. Lovely music and great ambiance.
Food was excellent but expensive. Disappointed that the fixed price 5-course meal is only available if everyone at the table orders it. Wine pairings we're good but obvious sediment in the entre red. Jazz was very good though we prefer classic jazz rather than jazz renditions of 70s pop tunes. Wait staff was excellent.

My wife and I dined here for our anniversary and found it to be the absolute finest experience in Roanoke. The service was exceptional, the food extremely well seasoned and cooked to perfection and the ambiance with music and dancing added to make the evening far above expectation. Our waiter, Brody (sp) had an outstanding personality and professional manner. We have dined at many places and I must say without hesitation that the Regency Room and the entire staff at Hotel Roanoke are truly exemplar. Very well done! We will return!
The Regency Room at Hotel Roanoke was a perfect venue for two couples who were married on the same day 47 years ago to celebrate their wedding anniversaries together. Staff service was impeccable. Food presentation and taste were excellent although if one has a sensitive palette I would recommend avoiding the "Regency House Salad" as the greens were bitter and spicy. The music was very relaxing and made a nice touch to our evening. One suggestion, check on the current valet parking for Regency Room diners. The Hotel Roanoke web-site indicated "complimentary valet parking for dinner with validation;" however, upon leaving we were told the price was $15 with a $3 reduction making the total for Valet Parking $12. Luckily, I had printed the reservation and details and the "complimentary valet parking" was honored. Certainly, this did NOT interfere with our phenomenal experience in the Regency Room.
The service and food were great ! From the moment we arrived everything was outstanding.
We typically try the "Chef's Table" tasting menu. This visit was particularly excellent, with all but one course being completely vegetarian. Every single bite was a marvel of taste and texture. The wine pairing was equally outstanding, moving in unexpected directions but providing near perfect accompaniment to each dish. It turns out the Regency Room has a new Lead Chef, Matt Deacon, a Roanoke native who has worked his way up through several local top-shelf eateries. We look forward to our next visit, which probably won't be soon enough for me.
