Not fancy. Casual. Buffet and menu service. Basically clean and the service was fine. Standard buffet fare. Train motif was interesting with history about the area if you read the captions on the photos and do an internet search.
First time eating lunch here!! Parking lot was super packed, but was able to get a table right away. Our waitress was very friendly, and did a great job. Food was pretty good!
Had never been before, asked someone who works locally where was best place and this is where they recommended. I had the 611 Chicken (chicken breast with BBQ sauce, Monterey Jack & cheddar cheeses, tomatoes & chives and my husband had the catfish. Both were yummy, salad bar was wonderful! We also tried the Blue Hawaiian beverage which was very good also. Service was exceptional!
This compared to a lower end Golden Corral. Service and atmosphere was good but steak and potato were only fair. I would recommend going across the street to the The Longhorn if you’re looking for a nice steak.
Great steak and a good salad bar. They looked super busy but the service was still very good. The flavor of the steaks is just solid here and also it is an incredible value. I highly recommend this place!
Heard about 611 from a friend. Was gonna be in Roanoke for the day so made plans to eat here. When I pulled into the parking lot I saw the sign said “hiring smiling faces”. That’s catchy I thought. It’s Sunday at 5:40. The parking lot is packed and people are standing all over waiting to get in. We go to the hostess stand, give our number and are told, “it won’t be too too long”. We figure what the heck, let’s give it 30 minutes. 5 minutes later we’re being shown to a table. So far so good. A minute later our waitress Kayla appears. And she had the biggest most genuine smile I’ve seen from a waitress in a very long time! And I eat out ALOT! Guess the sign was right. They hired at least one smiling face. Service was impeccable and the food was plentiful and very tasty. We all know this isn’t a 5 star restaurant but it offers delicious food and extreme value. I would go back a lot more if I didn’t live 40 miles away. But rest assured when I’m in Roanoke I’ll be eating here again! 5 stars!
Good atmosphere, great service and the food was very good. I would definitely recommend.
We first visited this restaurant three years ago while on a weekend visit and liked it so much we went back when returning for another weekend visit for hockey. It didn't disappoint again and when we come back through again, we know where we'll visit again. Nocole was a great waitress and tested us like we've known each other for years. Thank you for a great place to eat that wasn't overpriced and had great food.
Don't order a steak. You wear blue gloves to go too the bar, which is good for sanitary purposes but it's gross when there are a pile of them at your table.
I frequently eat here alone. Sometimes I bring friends or my wife. The steaks are excellent, the salad bar is really good. The quality seems to have went down some but I’m still impressed. I recommend The Great 611 for solo dining, for dates or anything.
