My daughter and son-in-law recently moved to Salem, and they texted us last week that they had just had the best tacos they’d ever had. Tonight my wife and I came from Cleveland to visit and had an amazing dinner at the Tacos Rojas on Colorado. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. And the service was amazing. I apologize to the owner’s oldest daughter for not remembering her name but she was charming and fun and made our evening so enjoyable without intruding. And in all my 63 years, I have never seen a waitress run, but she hustled so much that I actually saw her run a couple of times. And the food was fantastic. We all had various tacos, and all were authentic, Mexican small corn tortillas, doubled-up and so tasty. We agreed that the cheesy baria taco and its accompanying broth were maybe the best of what we ate, though we each loved everything we ordered. And everything was homemade, including even the salsa and guacamole. And I love a great margarita without bottled mixer, and the Skinny Margarita was perfect: tequila, triple sec, and 3-4 limes (depending on what you want). If we lived closer, we’d have a hard time not eating here every week. I can’t recommend a local Mexican restaurant more!
Overcharged. It was just my 4 year old & I and our food came up to $43 , that's a shame. All he got was chicken tacos ! I got 2 as well. Foodwasn't hot, they microwaved everything. I will say the guacamole was amazing.
Vegetarian Tacos are amazing
Best vegetarian enchiladas I've had. Very flavorful. Will be my go-to Mexican restaurant from now on.

I love the food here but I ordered 3 shrimp tacos and a cheese queso but got 3 beef tacos instead. I enjoyed it but just wished they got my order right

Oh my goodness. I've lived a half mile from here and just went in with friends to try it out. It was fantastic. The guacamole was amazingly fresh and tasted amazing. The chicken enchiladas and beef enchiladas are wonderful. Even the refried beans were quite tasty. The quesadilla was overflowing with steak. The Taco Rojas was not only great but was presented beautifully. The arroz con pollo was so good, our two friends ate all of theirs after they said they were going to take half of it home. Amazing drink selection. Don't think twice about going. The service was great as well, making it quite an enjoyable experience. Very authentic.
Today I made the worst decision of the year. "Let's order tacos from a different place. We always eat at Tacos Rojas, let's try tacos from a different restaurant." The fist bite into my taco I felt all of Elizabeth Küebler-Ross' 5 stages of grief. Denial: "it can't be that bad"; Anger: "how is this so awful!"; Bargaining: "the second bite will be better."; Depression: "I deserve this terrible taco"; And finally, acceptance: " I made a huge mistake".I am sorry Tacos Rojas, I won't make this mistake again. Songs will be sung of your salsa. Monuments of man making first contact with extraterrestrial life offering peace tacos. If I had a TR tamale everytime I had a TR tamale I would still not have enough TR tamale.People, don't make the same mistake I did. I have to live with this shame. You don't. Eat at Tacos Rojas and shout back at the existential void inside yourself, "I am alive!"
