Swankiest bar in the 'Noke! It's a classy hideaway with sexy lighting and superior drinks. Great for pre-dinner warm ups!
My husband I and enjoyed a nice evening eating here with Sarah as our waitress. We were tucked into a table by a window with flowers that was just lovely. We had been hiking all day and chose to have a salad to split then I had the Branzino which our waitress graciously offered to fillet for me. We finished our meal with the strawberry semifreddo which was so yummy!
To start, our server Gio was perfectly fabulous. He knew the menu very well and helped steer us in the right direction as we were first-timers. The house made bread appetizer was fabulous and fluffy in the middle yet crisp on the outside. The pizza was absolutely outstanding. We loved the lamb meatballs. The pasta was homemade, and just tremendous. We had a pasta dish that I can't recall the name of but was similar to a carbonara and was outstanding. We also tried the gnocchi and loved it. The brussel sprouts were unique and delicious. Do not let the anchovy in the description scare you off, it is different but delicious. Drinks were also delicious. Our kids ordered the mocktails and love them. It is a little noisy inside, but the quality of the food and the great service were over the top.
We all looked at the menu online and were disappointed when half of the items we'd decided on weren't available (menu had changed). The appetizers were good - roasted olives, focaccia bread, and calamari. My companions were happy with their entrees, but I was not . I ordered eggplant parmesan and it was terrible - definitely the worst I've ever had and not anywhere even close to a lousy Stouffer's frozen entree! My partner agreed - we were better off going to Olive Garden for this dish! (And we're not particularly Olive Garden fans.) Please, if you're going to make it like that take it off the menu!! Not sure I'll go back.
We just dined at Fortunato for the first time. It was busy but we had reservations and were seated immediately. The menu has a nice variety of Italian appetizers, pasta, pizza, and a few entrees. We found the food to be excellent....fresh and well prepared. I started with minestrone soup, which was nice on a cold night. The whole roasted branzino was perfectly cooked. My wife enjoyed her pizza. Everything was served hot. The restaurant isn't large. We found the atmosphere to be very noisy. You had to raise your voice to speak with the person next to you. It was very hard to hear the servers, especially with masks on. Perhaps there's a way to improve the acoustics. Our server was very nice. Food service was slightly slow but she served our food as soon as it was ready. We'll go back.
My first time visiting Fortunato for dinner and it was amazing. The menu is “fun” and our server Trevor was AWESOME! He knew the menu front and back and had an answer to all of our questions. Thanks for the amazing evening.
always great food an service.
Been a while for the fine dining but this place was where to return. Incredible fare from top to bottom. Lamb meatballs and the duck ragu were incomparable. Generous drinks and friendly wait staff. Wonderful experience.
Very nice ambience and the food was great. The service even better. I highly recommend this restaurant.
It was so nice to have dinner here with friends; because of the pandemic, that is something we have not felt comfortable doing for far too long. Street parking near the restaurant was largely filled; we found the one remaining open spot. Our table was waiting for us at the time reserved on a busy Saturday evening; all other tables were occupied. Our served, listed as 132 Gwen on our bill, was prompt and attentive; there were only a few occasions where we had to ask a second time for something previously asked for. The food - outstanding. Two of us came specifically for the Duck Ragu; it was creamy and packed with flavor. Duck fans note, this dish comes with a modest amount of small duck bits, perhaps an ounce or two. The Risotto Con Gamberi was also packed with flavor, much more so than a traditional risotto. We thought our $89.75 bill before tip was entirely worth it. Nicely done.
