Took a Lyft Ride to Roanoke from Staunton. First time in this city. Not only that, but I'm like 45 minutes early. Coffee!! Search area..Shenandoah Restaurant. Cars park outside and sign says home cook meals. I'm all for that.I walk inside and customers are at the...I'm gonna say bar because it feels like I just walked into just that a bar. Feels warm, cozy and relaxed. I could really enjoy a breakfast with this type of atmosphere.I came for coffee. Ordered. The woman behind the counter who took my order... She said she likes the smell of coffee, but she didn't drink it. You had me thinking, and I'm still thinking what I like the smell of but I don't eat or drink. The only thing that even comes close.. I like the smell of a skunk.Just for coffee, it was good. Hot and different from what I'm use to. Too bad I couldn't stay for lunch. I saw something about Catfish. If I'm ever back in Roanoke..this place is where I'm going first to eat.
Food is good always fresh and hot. Hot smokes are really good. Homemade chilli.
The ladies that work there are very nice,food is great. Highly recommend

The Menu has everything from hotdogs to Steak, Seafood Platters & everything in between. A Gr8 place to have a drink, play pool, Dance, Girl's Night Out, DJ on Fri, Sat & Sunday from 7pm til close, The Customers are Spectacular, Staff treats you like Family, It may get a bit Busy @ times; however Staff always goes the extra mile to make your experience feel Special. If you like Steak or are vegan Shenandoah has many choices for you.

Ordered dinner from the restaurant tonight. The burger had no seasoning, no mayo on the burger as requested. The pickle and onion ring was placed on top of the burger bun. Missed a whole order of fries ($5), ranch dressing that was requested. My hot sub had 1 piece of ham, 1 piece of turkey and was so salty I could barely eat it. I did not receive my fries that was ordered with my sub. Instead I got a bag of Cheese Doodles. The fries received with the burger was cold, had no taste even with our homemade BBQ sauce. This is definitely our last order ever with the Shenandoah.
Excellent experience. The food was great and affordable. We were impressed with the service and food. We loved the atmosphere. We will definitely go again.
