EXPENSIVE....(but)..... I had never been here before and really wasn't impressed with the prices. The waitress was a little out there but was pretty good. We started out with an appetizer of a $13.00 nachos and it was really good. Then the baked spaghetti was also pretty good but very watery underneath. So I may or may not go back.
Stopped to have lunch while on a road trip. Shakers had a nice atmosphere. Food was presented nicely, prepared well and tasted good. Service was excellent. Friendly and attentive. Would recommend.
Stopped in with my daughter for a quick dinner and a drink. We got the bang bang shrimp app, it was $13 and was not worth it, small shrimp and the sauce was really flat. I also got the Ahi Tuna and it was average at best. We sat at the bar and the service was slow, we had to keep asking for refills, utensils etc. Nothing was bad, but nothing I would remember
Ordered steak with my girlfriend on vacation. We ask for medium rare steaks and they gave it to us both medium well. They told us the mac and cheese was baked.......but it wasnt. Possibly the worst mac and cheese I've ever seen. Basically noodles with no cheese. The sweet potato you can tell was made in a microwave due to how deflated it was presented to us. Possibly the smallest sweet potato I've seen with a huge amount of butter that was bigger than the potato itself. The au gratin potatoes looked like hash brown potatoes formed into a crab cake. The waitress wasnt too bad and the malibu sunset drink was probably the only thing making me want to give this review 2 stars. Please do better. At least know how to make mac and cheese and traditional au gratin potatoes. If I wanted hash brown potatoes with cheese in it, I would have went to Waffle House.
Roanoke was our first stop over of a 10 day vacation. We had a great dinner and nice time at Shakers. Interesting food, nice craft beer selection, nice decor, and a fun wait staff. Price was right, we had fun, and left full and happy.
Great food and excellent service! Jada was a fantastic server. We got the chicken Chesapeake and fish tacos. Both were fantastic!
First time going and I will definitely be back. I could give 5 stars purely off of the customer service, but everything else deserves it too. A very polite and kind woman served our table, I believe her name was Julia (shoutout to her because she is the best person I have ever been served by). Our drinks were never empty, and we were very well taken care of. I will even admit that one of us are a little particular about steak and that issue was taken care of immediately, and nicely, and even discounted.The freshness of the house salad was amazing, and their dressings are homemade so of course they were great too.There was no wait for our party of 4 on a Friday night at 5:30, even though the place was PACKED. And all of our food was received in a very, very timely manner.I could go on and on, but it's better if you go try it out. ?
Shakers provided excellent food and service for our group that was celebrating my Son and Daughter in Law’s Wedding. Our waitress was terrific. The manager and his staff really did a great job with everything. Our guests could not stop talking about the quality and quantity of the food that was served. We will definitely be returning to Shakers in the future and I highly recommend using them for your events.
We recently celebrated My Son & Daughter in Law’s Wedding at Shakers, and we were very pleased with everything. The food was very good and the portions are huge. I think our waitress was Clara and she did an excellent job taking care of us. All of our guests could not say enough about how very good the food and service was. The manager and his staff were all very attentive, and there were no issues during our visit. I highly recommend this restaurant whether it’s for a casual dinner or a private party. We will definitely return in the future. Thanks ?
Friendly, attentive staff. Very clean. Ahi tuna was delicious and perfectly-prepared. My husband and I sat at the bar and my only criticism is the tight fit with tables in the bar area being very close to the bar seating.
