This was the first Asian buffet I have been in since the beginning of the pandemic. The server was very friendly and attentive. A dirty plate never sat there for more than 3 minutes and the drinks were kept filled. The assortment of food was wonderful, with more different types of chicken dishes and rice dishes, than I thought possible. All of the seafood dishes were well prepared and I sampled every one of them. There was just about anything you could have wanted on the steam tables, and the trays were never empty. I am a big guy, so the dessert area was of interest to me. There were several cakes, puddings, jello, fresh fruits, donuts and several other pastries, all sampled and all tasty. You need to go there with a big appetite and enjoy. I know you'll find something there that you like. Thanks.
Best bang for your buck with good flavor when enjoying being in the 'Noke. Clean and has a nice atmosphere. The Coconut Shrimp is to die for!
This is my favorite Chinese place in Roanoke. There's always consistently good food and the lunch buffet especially is well-priced and definitely worth it. Servers and workers there are always polite and helpful, clean and well-dressed. The women's bathroom is also always clean which is nice as some places don't keep up with them very well. When I've done a la cart foods or take out, those are equally good too. I'm always happy with my trips there, and Red Palace is always a nice addition to any visit to Roanoke for me. My family and I visit it often and we love it.
My grandsons have grown up wanting Red Palace whenever there is a celebration to enjoy. Last night wasn't exactly a celebration, but one of them is recuperating from Covid so we got our first take-out order. As usual the food was delicious and ample for all. It was packaged well to stay warm. We will be back for the buffet and the great service of the excellent servers.
Better service than most of the other Chinese restaurants that I have been to locally.
It's about as Chinese as Chow Mein, which is to say, not at all. I know. I've spent decades there. All the five star reviews don't mean authenticity, but that's not what anyone comes here for. The buffet is, to be fair, as nice and bountiful with options as can be expected. The staff are very fast and efficient. The food has been branded down to let Americans enjoy. The value is fine, for $12/lunch. Then again, if you want real Chinese, get out of Virginia. This isn't Chinatown, Mr. Wang.
The selection of food is incredible oh, they had a little bit of everything. The staff was very attentive for example my drink never got less than half full. Overall a pretty darn good experience!
The food was top notch! The restaurant was kept clean and spotless. The service was impeccable and fast. Although the parking lot was almost completely full of cars it didn’t feel packed or crammed inside the restaurant. Defiantly will visit again!
Great! Me and my children love eating here! The staff is amazing. The owner is nice. My only wish is after coming here for over 12 yrs that they would add new items to the buffet from time to time. They have sold the same items for 12 yrs only added crawfish since which aren’t my fav since the flavor is only on the shell not inside which is the part you eat. Nevertheless we still enjoy it!
Excellent and probably the best Chinese buffet I've been to! Lunch was around $11. Excellent!
