Loved my birria taco, smoked potato salad, and lima beans! Not one bad bite!
It was love @ first taste for me. It's hard to find Barbecue the way "I like it". Most places are decent, but no one has taken me home like Mama Jean's. a "sleeper" is the picked "reds", I'd eat those on a pile of ants. 5 out of 5 Starships for me.

So amazingly delicious. Everything on the menu rocks. Just eat here. As often as you can.
Food is different. Good. But As of today. I'm done with this place. Extremely long waits have not improved over time. Owner does nothing to improve the wait times. So inefficient. What's the customer benefit of the new location? I see none. I have better things to do with my time.
I wanna thank Mama Jean and her crew for awesome service. I have a bum hip and can't stand or walk very far because of it. They helped me out tremendously, and it's much appreciated. I came from Blacksburg just to get my crew lunch. Well worth every penny and the service is second to none. If you have a chance to patronage their food truck, do it. Don't think about it; just do it. You won't regret it!!
Best food I’ve had since I moved to Roanoke! Pulled pork was flavorful all the way through, Mac n cheese was creamy, pinto beans were seasoned excellent!! Then we tried to banana pudding… soooo good!! We will be back for sure! My favorite place!
