Best pancakes, French toast, coffee, and staff in the City! It is always a go-to for quick service in a local spot.
Some of the best biscuits and gravy I've had in my 35 years and my father was a chef, home fries are 100% the best I've had
Ordered the Downtowner and small home fries. I was served it within a few short minutes! The food was delicious, hot and fresh. Friendly and attentive service. Can't wait to go back and try another dish.
My husband and I love Ernie’s! We typically come for their breakfast but their lunch sandwiches are good too. The best part is the service - everyone that works there is so kind.
Lived in Roanoke my whole life and never tried this out. Food was great and the service was very respectful and kind. Loved the quirky menu. Refills came when needed and food was delivered to table fast. I commend the waitress on not rushing us to eat because we stopped in close to closing time (on accident). Also, loved that I saw all of the employees helping to clean up and close down. It's great when coworkers and managers can work together. Will eat there again.
Came here for breakfast and was delighted at the atmosphere that Ernie's provided. From the decor on the walls to the hospitality and kindness of the staff. I ordered 2 eggs, home fries, bacon, wheat toast, and added a biscuit as a side order. Literally everything was seasoned so deliciously which is not the norm for most breakfast places in my opinion, and the wheat toast was such good bread. I would eat here every morning if my wallet would let me. Also my friend collects coffee cups and the staff was kind enough to let us purchase one! 10/5 stars, you need to eat here!
They are absolutely amazing! The service is great
An eclectic small eatery in the heart of downtown Roanoke. They serve breakfast and lunch at great prices and have outdoor seating in the warmer months. Good service too!
Great place to eat The service was great
I hate to leave this review because I did love this place . Food is excellent and service was just horrible today. Cook was hanging outside when I arrived talking ( I thought smoking) but server said he was just hanging out out, then walks inside starts grabbing food without washing hands first and cooks. I mention to waitress what I saw and she says he always washes his hands after he smokes. I clearly saw he didn’t. I meant no disrespect but I wasn’t gonna debate it. I asked for order to go instead of eating in . Still paid for it and left a tip walked out and threw it away ! Any time you leave a establishment to go outside and do whatever you should always wash hands before you touch food. There are too many illnesses out there these days look at Famous Anthony’s!
