This restaurant is a great place to get really good food. Our family stopped about 10 days ago on our trip south. The service and food are wonderful, the staff and manager were friendly. So, on the way home we went back and again a great place! See y’all next year! ?⭐️
Good food and good service, don't pass this BBQ place by. They have lunch specials, dinner meals, desserts and bulk take out orders. This place has been a staple in Christiansburg for years I am glad we have our own in Roanoke now.
Stopped in to get my wife a pulled pork sandwich and when she opened it a few miles down the road we found the meat to be all bark. Not very appealing. Her side was slaw, it had been sitting for a while. Was definitely not what we are used to getting here.
Had late dinner here last night. Half chicken was dry but tasty. Excellent fried green tomatoes. The hush puppies weren't as hot as the rest of the food.
We have wanted to try them since seeing they opened in Roanoke. My husband and O shared the half chicken- which was sooo delicious ? and the big slop which was also yummy. The Cole slaw was a wee bit spicy, but tasty. Our son raved over his chicken nuggets as well.Highly recommend trying if you enjoy fresh food, a great meal at a reasonable price.
I had the brisket sandwich and ordered fried okra and french fries. The meat was chewy and dry. The fried okra tasted like it was from a frozen bag bought from a grocery store. The fries were little and "just ok". The place is clean and well decorated. Price for what I ordered was $23, I think I would rather spend that amount of money on dinner that I'll enjoy next time.
Fantastic food! Ray was great to talk to as well. Good interior atmosphere. Highly recommended
Absolutely the best! The food was amazing and the staff (Ray) was awesome. We will be back.
The brisket was tender, smokey, and quite delicious. ⚠️ Warning: It may make you feel guilty to add sauce to this level of quality brisket. ?
Stopped in around 6pm on a Sunday after seeing the sign on interstate 81. The place was not busy but the workers were friendly. The place smelled of sweet potatoes which in my opinion is good. We order the pulled pork and brisket sandwich and they were great. We also got the potato salad and sweet potato casserole which were very good. They had a nice selection of homemade BBQ sauce to choose from. I would recommend you stop in.
