Chipotle used to be one of my favorite restaurants because it was good, quick & inexpensive. But the quality of the food has suffered. Unless I eat it AT the restaurant hot I end up feeling like I wasted my money.Chicken seasoning and being cooked appropriately is hit or miss, sometimes it’s burnt. My rice and beans this time are undercooked & for some reason dude also gave me 2 helpings of the wrong rice this time.My biggest pet peeve though, they either don’t have dressing or have inconsistent portions. I usually ask for 2 to compensate but even asking for 2 this time was a joke (see picture). Even 2 of those were not enough for the portion of food they serve. I’m not sure why this is such an issue. I personally don’t want a salad without dressing so I almost have to check to see if it’s there and that I can get enough before I order. They usually don’t tell you when you order a salad if they’re out or not. I only find out when I ask for it at the register so I feel like a jerk when I tell them I don’t want the salad they just made in vain. There is also nowhere on the app to request extra dressing.Speaking of ordering online, they almost ALWAYS forget something. I do not recommend Door Dashing unless you leave specific instructions for them to check your bag for any extras. Usually it’s my dressing which again, is kind of part of the meal. I know some people eat salads without dressing but I wanna say they’re probably the minority.I feel like these are all simple fixes but the place has just felt off since Covid or maybe a little before. It’s unfortunate. I usually pick Valley View’s location over this one if I can.
Ate here the other day and it was a big disappointment. Not very clean, burrito was not very good, employees were pretty rude. I hadn't eaten at this Chipotle in about 8-9 years (I think it had just opened) and this recent one was a let down. The burrito didn't taste as good and fresh as the ones I've had at the Valley View location in Roanoke. After this visit I have no plans to go back to the Colonial Ave/Towers mall location. You're better off going to McCalister's or Firehouse Subs that are just a few feet away.
Stopped by here tonight In a rush (after seeing chick fil a line was out of their parking lot.) And let me just say, IM SO GLAD WE DID! The service was over the top, and the food WAS INSANELY GOOD! The portions were ON POINT! The staff working tonight were on top of their game and the food was AMAZING! They deserve an appreciation! ?
The Staff at this location are horrible. I will drive to another location before I deal with this type of service again.
Used to love this place but haven't had a great experience there for a few months. Its to do with the meat portions. 3 times with very little meat and thats why i won't go there anymore.
For a chain restaurant it is good but I much prefer the hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. It is a place I go to often as it is hard to find good Mexican styled food in Virginia.
If you want to experience the worse customer service of Chipotle in town, do visit this location. It used to be an amazing crew, but I guess like many businesses the labor crisis hit them not having another choice than hiring "whoever" . Not just that my bowl was overflowing, but the lady who served my food was in such a hurry and mood that closed the lid twice before I was done. Then when I asked lettuce she asked me if I was okay with the scraps left in the container, like barely 4 to 6 bad pieces...She served all the food throwing it into the bowl just like it was anything but FOOD! I am sure that some customers appreciate the extra food, but at some point use your sense for when the client will have to open it and eat it. I give it 1 star just because the food was good. ZERO stars for the working crew and MINUS ZERO stars for the mean and careless young lady who prepared my bowl...*I should mention that I was the only one in line, so her sense of hurry and rudeness was totally unnecessary! *
So I normally say that this one At towers is the best one in town but not tonight just wasn't. Service was short and unfriendly not normal there. And I get it.food was cold brisket, chicken, rice and the sourcream wasn't good had a strong weird smell . Maybe another time
First delivery of food, cold drinks were put in the bottom of a paper bag with food on top it . The bag was sealed but the sweat from drinks soaked the bag and it broke open when the delivery person was attempting to pick it up to bring it to the door. The delivery driver was kind enough to communicate what happened and was able to place it in a plastic bag as well as apologize for what the restaurant employees did. The second chance at delivery, the employees didn't have the paid order with confirmation # ready and couldn't find it in their system. The driver had another delivery and ultimately had to cancel the order.
I try to give businesses I patronize the benefit of the doubt. I don't write reviews after one mildly negative experience. I love chipotle's food, but this location has gone drastically downhill. The last few times I've gone in, the place is an absolute mess, the service is slow, the staff are rude.... I went in today hoping to grab a quick lunch. I ended up walking out without food after about 10 minutes. The counter was DISGUSTING. The line was only about 6 people long but it was taking FOREVER. I guess their doordash system was down somehow. They said they weren't able to see the orders coming in. The folks coming in to pick up their customers' doordash orders were understandably frustrated and the Chipotle staff were extremely unapologetic and downright rude to them. I sincerely hope that the new location they're opening at Tanglewood is better. I will not be coming back to this location.
