I love Alejandro’s and believe they are the best Mexican restaurant in town. The staff are friendly, the food is tasty (and portions are huge!), and of course they have their chips and salsa bar. Unfortunately due to the pandemic and the current economic situation, menu prices have gone up, and the salsa bar is limited to just six different salsas (I think in the past they had around 10 or so?). Just something for customers to keep in mind if they have different expectations. I hope they get their full salsa bar back and that prices can come down a bit.
I was highly disappointed at the treatment we received..I took my family and friends in to celebrate my daughter's graduation and I had dined there a few days earlier and informed them that I would be returning in a few days with a large party and wanted to make reservations to accommodate the size of the party And was assured that that was not necessary because because it would be after the lunch rush once we got there they had 2 small tables put together which clearly was not large enough ..we began to place the orders and as guest continued to arrive we asked for more seating and one of the managers said that he would put Guest at another table but he wasn't going to put any more tables together for us and quite rudely I might add..this disturbed one of my guests to the point that she actually left.. Once the food started to arrive to arrive the 2nd issue arose with the sheer confusion of the waitress Tris she did not have the majority of the orders right and being that it was a large party everyone tried to be as accommodating as possible and she met that with rudeness.. it just wasn't a very good experience and once I paid the bill I wasn't even given a receipt for my purchases so I really don't even know what I paid for.. I had been a frequent diner there but I have noticed that the quality of the food has changed as well.. as has the attitude of the wait staff so I don't think that we will be dining there again.. nor will I be bringing any friends, family or business associates there anymore.
We order takeout from the downtown location frequently and it never fails to impress. Always tasty, fresh, and full of flavor. I highly recommend the calabacitas. The salsa selection is also a big highlight.
Amazing Mexican food experience in roanoke that offers a wide variety of dishes and especially solid vegetarian options as well. In addition, there is a self serve salsa bar that is an excellent pairing with the complimentary nacho chips and your meals. The customer service is very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommended!

Excellent Mexican cuisine, including several keto-friendly options. The food and service were both excellent. Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean, with great decor. Excellent food and service
We went to this restaurant while traveling along the Blue ridge parkway scenic route. We went to the location in Roanoke VA. The good was really tasty. I ordered the veggie fajitas which came with grilled onions bell peppers zucchini and an interesting addition of pineapple. This was accompanied by Mexican red rice with fried beans, queso fresco, sour cream lettuce and guacamole. The seasoning and the sauce on the fajitas was really delicious. The restaurant served a plate of tortilla chips which was mediocre. But they had a variety of selection of dips, from which I tried the mild salsa roja, spicy salsa roja, spicy jalapeño and the spicy Mexican green salsa. These salsa were really delicious and almost made up for the mediocre chips. The salsa also went very well with the fajitas as well.
