The owner knows how to create a wonderful dining experience. Thoroughly enjoyed our time even though it was cut short because of our children back home. Delicious Reuben that I felt uncomfortable eating because it tasted so much like real meat. Iceberg wedge was so refreshing and the blue cheese substitute was a nice touch in addition to the smoky bacon and croutons. Also I hope they start selling their cucumbers because they are so refreshing a delicious with their marination. Ask about the stories behind each drink and you will learn some lovely things about this family owned restaurant. Definitely earned my repeat business and as a vegan this will be a RVA staple.
The Nashville hot chicken sandwich. This is the BEST sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. I love the Morningstar buffalo chicken patties but this sandwich made Morningstar look like trash. I’m only vegetarian and I forgot it was fully vegan while I was eating and I don’t know how they made the coleslaw taste like actual coleslaw. My lil cousin got the Mac and cheese and refused to try it but I did and it tasted like baked Mac and cheese with real cheese. I thought $14 was a lot for a sandwich but when it arrived it was the size of my face and a good 4 inches thick. I couldn’t even finish half of it, so it definitely was worth the price. Our waitress was nice, the inside of the restaurant was nice, and we didn’t wait a long time for our food. Thank you yumvees for existing, I’m excited to come back and get a chicken parm.
Hello, Vegans!!! This place is amazing and perfect for vegans and vegetarians. Tracey is so sweet and helpful. Go Jersey. The food is SO delicious! I ate the bacon burger with fries and my wife ate the Reuben with a salad. All made in house and fresh. As a designer, I love the decor of the restaurant; makes it high end and comfortable. I highly recommend Yummvees to all foodies. We will definitely be going back to try more food items, and we look forward to trying drinks from the great drink menu.
Amazing food! Everything is made from scratch, menu is amazing, independently owned, and the owner is amazing!! I got the portobello cheese stake with fresh hand cut French fries and it blew my taste buds out my mouth! The dessert is great as well! Also, the cocktail menu is on another level!
Staff is super friendly, so nice, makes you want to support them. We had the chicken parm and Nashville hot chicken. I am not a tofu person, but loved both of them, super yummy. Great portion sizes, fries are big and seasoned well. Just a really awesome place. Wish they did brunch both weekend days but gives an excuse to come back! Two thumbs up
Absolutely some of the best vegan food we have ever had... Entirely plant based vegan menu, but the Italian sausage sandwich was so on point my dog who only eats meat ate the sausage... Tofu chicken sandwich looked amazing friend said it was great, we all got 2 meals from our lunch or dinner choices... The fries are fantastic, the bacon burger also looked absolutely amazing, drinks were on point, definitely a 5 star experience for anyone meat or plant eaters, and obviously amazingly vegan friendly. Try it!
Awesome variety of vegetarian meals. They had the best fries of anywhere I've been to in Richmond. Everything was unique to their place and worth going back to work your way through the menu. Would recommend to anyone vegetarian or not.
First time here at Yumvees, decided on a birthday brunch. On this day, It was a beautiful day and we wanted to sit outside but it was super hot so we were seated inside instead.Our server was okay, seemed nice but unfortunately wasnt very helpful and seemed a lil distracted.The food, I had ricotta pancakes with blue berries on top. They were a special of the day and were very good so I literally ate every bite. One of the people in out party ordered a meal that had tofu egg in it and he hated the taste. I ordered a homemade biscuit with strawberry jam and it was not the best. I was so let down because I was so excited for it, thinking of the taste of a soft buttermilk biscuit... but what I got was thick, and hard, very bland. Thankfully, the pancakes were so good and filling that it made up for it.I would go back, and just steer clear of the biscuits and eggs.
Great place for vegan food! I love how many options they have and it’s more of a restaurants/fast food style. They come take your order and everything. So it’s a little different than their other place Hangspace. Love love love this place. Also our server was Matt, he was amazing. A great nice guy who was very helpful. He helped make this place just a bit more wonderful.
A vegan restaurant in Midlothian!? Yes please! Finally made it out to try, and it did *not* disappoint. Cannot wait to try brunch and dinner. The fact I can eat anything on the menu and it's 100% vegan is amazing. Staff was super friendly, food was delicious and fast. Drinks on point!Be back soon!
