Wood and Iron is my favorite sports bar and happy hour. Their staff is ALWAYS friendly and some even know my order by heart. However, recently the mango smash recipe has changed and it is WAY too sweet. Please change it back to the original recipe or at least do club soda again instead of sprite and simple syrup. Thank you!!!
So, here’s the thing….After being convinced to visit this restaurant for lunch, I finally caved in. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with smiles ? and some incredible energy.Like OMG. THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE !!!!! The wing boneless tacos were out of this world. More importantly, our server did an amazing job. Peyton was absolutely lovely. Best believe I will be coming back and recommending this restaurant and your server to my client and friends.Thank you Wood & Iron for making my day awesome ! ??
This place was fantastic. Stopped by for a beer and lunch. The server and food were both top notch. Ordered hush puppies for appetizer (pic is after we had eaten most of them). They were perfect blend of slight crunch on outside and soft inside. Comes with a tasty butter. Weren't extremely hungry so we decided to share a burger/wing combo. The burger was well cooked and wings perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of sauce. A definite step up from a "regular" sports bar. Would definitely return if in the area again.
Great food. Had the brunch taco and wings combo. Taco was amazing, wings were good, too. Portion size was generous for the price. We were trying to go to another restaurant that had a longer wait, but ended up here and were pleasantly surprised! Great service as well.
Love coming here, been a few times for NFL/CBB, tons of TVs and great food, not your typical bland bar food. Their beer selection is nice too, a few I haven’t seen on draft around RVA. Things may be a few dollars more than most sports bars but easily worth it, IMO. Great service too!
The steak and cheese egg rolls are a great app, and you can't go wrong with the burgers or BBQ sandwich. Plan ahead and get there early because the place fills up fast! It's normal to see a line outside waiting to get seated. The staff is super friendly and helpful.
Super busy and loud with a ton of TVs inside and out, if that's your thing. Normal casual dining food. Don't expect anything too special. The young woman, Taylor was a fantastic server and handled a large amount of customers with grace and professionalism. Too bad that she wasn't our server, though she still was helpful. Our server was in training and gets a pass for any mistakes. However, he was slow to get our food and didn't offer to correct his mistakes. He also walked through the area several times without stopping by any table including ours, to offer assistance. If we are in the area and there is nothing else, we may eat there again but we wouldn't seek it out.
Pleasantly surprised with this nice atmosphere friendly staff and knowing they are associated with one of our favorite restaurants asado is icing on the cake
Was very expressed with this place. Wife and I stopped for lunch. Pretty good sized location, large bar in the middle with sitting all around. Still plenty of tables throughout and 2 outside patios. Lots of TVs to watch sports throughout. We sat at the bar and had a pretty spritiy waitress. They had some different and unique items on the menu. We tried a few different ones and thought they were a hit or miss, but either way, its cool trying new things. I could see myself making this a regular place to come grab lunch, dinner and watch the game.
Had a nice lunch experience and excellent service. Food was quite tasty. I'll go back to try some more menus items.
