I usually just get their chicken or pork lo mein and it's good, BUT idk it has something to it that makes my mouth feel like I ate a bucket of salt. I think they add too much MSG or Sodium, but I've ordered 3 times now and every time it been the same way. I've worked st a couple of Chinese restaurants in the past so I know sometimes these types of restaurants can be heavy with the NA & MSG.
I wish I could give this rating zero stars and will most likely regret wasting my time writing this review but I want to save others from ordering from this god awful place. My family ordered from here a while ago and the food was terrible and it was very over priced. I was doing a puzzle with my boyfriend and sister last night and decided to order from here since I had forgotten this was the terrible Chinese place and it had a 4.4 star rating.. when I got the food the delivery driver didn’t say a word to me, shoved the bag in my arms before I could blink and literally ran away to his truck. I ordered Orange chicken with white rice and the chicken was rubbery, the sauce tasted sour and the rice tasted undercooked. My boyfriend and sister said their food wasn’t good either and we threw it away along with the $51.00 I spent on this food. That was including a $10 tip. Never ordering from here again, eat at your own risk.
My husband and I had one of our tst dates here 12 years ago. We still love going here for lunch or dinner. It's such a beautiful little atmosphere with nice clean tables and relaxing music in the background. But the food? Omg! It is excellent. We have tried many dishes, Sweet and sour pork, Sweet and sour chicken, Moo goo gi pan, szhewhan beef, happy family, beef and broccoli and I love their Green Pepper steak. The Manager is the nicest person in the world and his wait staff is excellent. They make great drinks too. Their soups are excellent. I'm so thankful they have survived through the Covid crisis and hope they continue to thrive in the future..
I’ve driven past this place a thousand times. My husband said he wanted to go and so we went. It’s really good, y’all. The food to great. Lots of vegetarian options. It’s a pretty standard Chinese menu and it’s solid. Great service. Clean tables and bathroom. The booths are in good shape. There are 2 napkins wrapped around the flatware. Great touch. Love that. Wish I had gone sooner.
Sweet and sour shrimp was just fried shrimp with sweet and sour sauce. Rice was just rice no veggies.
I am not normally the type out a review but I have never had Chinese food that tasted this bad in my life. The sesame tofu was slimy with watered down sauce, the “fried” dumpling were soggy, and the pork fried rice was so chewy and salty. The only thing that was edible was the spring rolls. Honestly, probably the worst Chinese food in RVA??. Better off going to Panda Express
I absolutely adore this place. The food is always so good and everyone who works there is super nice and helpful. We get takeout from there a few times a month and I always look forward to it!
Food is always great. Service is fast.
Used to order take out from them regularly. Decent food. I never leave tip for take out because I don’t feel it’s necessary but they decided to charge it anyway after the fact. So make sure you fill out all the blank fields in your receipt when you sign it and then check your bank statement to make sure they charged you the right amount.
This restaurant has been a long time family favorite. Great for date night or take out!
