The Stables is a terrific spot, the service is prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and they know how to manage a fairly tight timetable. Our reservation was for 5:30; we were going to a show at Altria and had asked that we be done by 7 - they got us fed and out by 6:48, without our feeling rushed in the slightest. Drinks, appetizers and mains! We are constant fans.
One of the best IF not best restaurants in Richmond. Such a hidden gem. Highly recommend the lamb lollipops and mussels.
The Ceviche did not look like anything on the photo on the online menu but it was delicious! and the chicken turned out to be a game hen!
From the bar, to the servers, to the immaculate dishes that hit the table, this isn't A date spot, this is THE date spot. The cocktails were fresh and new, the lollipop lamb shanks had us gnawing on the bone, and the main course was insane. We couldn't decide what was better between the scallops and the duck. Not to mention our server, with free reign, paired us with wine that accentuated each dish perfectly. I wish I had another set of hands to give this dinner 4 perfect ratings.
