I have been to two different concerts here in the last year and find the venue The National to be a great place to go for concerts. You have a great view of the stage from anywhere in the venue.
Being thankful not only shows good manners, but a simple expression of thankfulness can go a long way in relationships and communication with others. It not only enhances our own lives, but makes other people feel appreciated, I just withdraw my profit of $6,548 from my acc thanks a lot Mrs vanessa raymond I now have full trust on you now,, I started with $650 you can also give a try, Mrs.vanessa is real.. The National was awesome! Parking is a cinch, ID check and ticket scans were quick and easy, and it was easy to navigate once inside the building. The general admission floor is on a gentle slope so similar to stadium seating, even if you're in the back you can still see the stage. The show I saw tonight was amazing and I can't wait to go back to catch another. General admission is standing room only, there are seats on the second floor and I may look into those for the next show just to check them out. There was multiple bar areas to make getting drinks easy as well as a handicapped seating area that was reserved from the general admission crowd. Overall, a wonderful experience and night.
Saw Godspeed You! Black Emperor here. First time being at this venue. From the security at the door to the bar staff, everyone was so friendly. Easy to get parking within walking distance. This will definitely be our go to venue vs DC.
This is a great small venue! I found it to have quality sound no matter where you were inside the facility's auditorium. Staff was great as well. Alcohol is a bit pricey ($10/beer, $14/good liquor), so be prepared to spend $ if you want a drink or two.
Buying tickets at the door is a better option to avoid a $15 convenience fee for online purchases. Parking for the National is at a parking garage one block away. Beverages purchased at the National are way overpriced. I don’t have anything good or bad to say about the building itself it’s ok I guess.
Saw Punch Brothers, good show. Never anywhere have I heard so many instances of feedback squeal, repeatedly, >20x. Band member had to stop in the middle of a solo because of it. I sat balcony, literally had my knees touching the concrete wall, no way to reposition. The seat next to me had view obstruction by a railing. Staff on the balcony had their walkie turned up which blasted noise several times during quiet songs. The seats were not cushioned at all.
Three stars is being generous. We paid for seats H12 & H11 in section B - I’ve had more leg room on an airplane. The seats were not bolted to the floor correctly so we rocked around a lot. In the top of the theatre the acrostics are terrible and if the floor crowd is talking that is going to further ruin the audio quality. The view of the stage was fine from the top of the house, but sound was horrific. The mic feedback had even the band putting their fingers in their ears multiple times. We honestly felt bad for the band, they deserved better: better sound, better venue, better audience. I’ve never been in a theatre where more people talked over the headliner. Not the opener, but the band they had paid to see and the crowd would not stop talking. The least this theatre can do is bold seats H12 & H11 in section B to the floor so no one else’s gets a broken back or motion sickness.
Smaller venue which is my preference. Good view from anywhere. Ample amount of bars and restrooms which leads to short lines. Currently, must provide proof of vaccination or negative COVID test. Event staff is friendly and constantly walking around picking up empty cups, monitoring the crowd, etc. We would definitely return to the venue for another show.
An amazing old building in a beautiful old city. The National has wonderful acoustics and easy access to parking. It is so much fun to see live music there, it has a more quaint feeling because of the size. You can either sit or stand on the floor in front of the stage.BUT be sure NOT to purchase tickets for the front and second row of the balcony you will not be able to see. If you are able it is so much fun to stand down in front of the stage and ?dance, dance, dance ?
