So we finally made it to The Lilly Pad after hearing great things about it! It was wonderful. From the time we arrived the host greeted us and helped us decide where to sit based on our wind preference. Sitting on the water was amazing. Our waitress was helpful and made great suggestions! Our food and drinks were delicious. I spoke with Management and felt like I was being heard. They even have a happy hour!!! I have already recommended this place to several people. I can’t wait to go back to get me a Pain Killer on the happy hour and sit by the water to eat and have conversations.Update: I forgot to add that a storm came through and staff helped move people under the tent to keep dry. Great customer service!

Took my bride to The Lilly Pad for dinner yesterday. We shared the appetizer … the best lightly breaded and gently fried oysters we’ve ever had! I went with the all-beef burger and Swiss cheese on a brioche bun with sauteed mushrooms and onions, and a side of asparagus with pine nuts. The burger was spectacular and the asparagus was perfectly grilled, too! My bride had the fried catfish sandwich served on a brioche roll with a side of fries. She said the fish was delicious … the perfect balance of golden and moist. She even raved about the fries! Savanna, our server, was fantastic … prompt, efficient and friendly. Thanks for a great experience! We'll be back!

Perfect for any occasion, be ready to wait for a table but with live music and a separate area to wait and order drinks and appetizers it's worth it. Food is excellent, staff is amazing and all the outdoor wonderfulness you can soak up in a night. They even have firepits and heat lamps to ward off any chills. It's right on the docks so you can drive or boat to it. Will absolutely be going back.

Just went last night and it was awesome. Cold drinks and great food at a reasonable price with a great view on the dock.

Ok hear me out! This place has great potential to get all five stars. Their servers offer great customer service. However, the food was just ok. I was hoping for a restaurant on the water to have better fried fish. They were also out of oysters. What they lack in options and flavor they more than make up for it in views! One of very few restaurants in Richmond that have river front views.

In Richmond, we wanted to try something different. Spring was in the air, and we were in the mood to dine outside. Stumbled across Lilly Pad and made the shortish drive out of the city. Very happy we did! They offer a fairly limited menu, but all we tried was very tasty. The hummus plate with a pita type bread was really good. Their individual pizzas were really good. I tried the kids smoked gouda mac and cheese and it was REALLY good. They had a decent beer selection, which honestly was the reason I was there in the first place. So you're right on the water, with boats docked next to you. It was a bit chilly, but they had propane heaters scattered all around the tables. They had a couple fire pits going on the beach hangout area. Our server was fantastic. It's worth the drive out of the city if you want to eat outdoors. Because beware, there is ZERO seating inside. This was just what we wanted, and we would definitely return again.

The atmosphere is so beautiful. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food is the best and the price is great.

Always great food. Great atmosphere. Attentive staff.
