The Boathouse has gone overboard on the paperless menu. In addition to requiring that one use a smartphone, you are required to include a name and phone number to view the menu. While you can order through the system, the waiter said itâs better if we order through him. To add insult to injury, a credit card is required for the waiter to place your order. 20% gratuity is automatically added to all checks. Our waiter, when available, was delightful. Unfortunately he had two 12-tops in addition to us so there were a few gaps. My biggest complaint is the menu/order system. Takes away from what used to be a lovely evening at The Boathouse.
The self ordering thing is awful if you need to have separate checks. It was frustrating because we needed to order more food and beverages, and it wouldnt let us. Then the server was MIA forever. It was a nightmare to separate checks, made us feel so cheapened. Would never come back here again. Worst service ever!

We were extremely disappointed in the entire experience. We'd read good reviews from a diner, but we were told when we arrived that the menu was to be obtained from a QR code, we were to order online, and that there was a 20% gratuity added in to the bill. We did not receive even adequate service. As a matter of fact, my husband and I were so disappointed in our appetizer, that we declined to order dinner.
No menus. Had to scan and use your phone. Automatic 20% surcharge for very poor service. Noise level was extreme. Could not hear across the table. Food was good but over priced for what you get. We will not go back.
We did a anniversary brunch here. The food and service was amazing .
Really didnât like the food/ service. Steak was cooked good but just has no seasoning or flavor. Girl got crab cakes and got sick after words . Kid wouldnât touch Mac and cheese. Very poor experience. Go to magianos instead
The food was great. Jared our server made great recommendations with the food and wine pairing. This was a birthday celebration and it was great to see that the server was aware of it without me having to say something to the server. The chef delivering the food was an excellent touch. Thoroughly an excellent dining experience. I would recommend this restaurant to all to come and enjoy.
Great experience. Jarod was fantastic. We'll certainly be back again.
We went in for lunch with a friend. Everything was delicious! Service was outstanding. All three of us left happy.
