This place does not even deserve a star! I ordered the five piece with Mac & Cheese, Yams, and Cornbread. For starters the chicken was extra big and very chewy/rubbery! The cornbread had way too much cinnamon! I would not recommend! I also got a sweet tea that tasted nothing like sweet tea! This is my first time writhing a review because this food was so disappointing. I had to throw my food away which was a waste of $25! I ended up going to Bo jangles down the street. Please save your Time & Money!
normally i have no complaints and this place really is lovely especially if you enjoy homemade, flavorful foods…unfortunately today i took my boyfriend to this place of business; i’m leaving a 4 star review because we did get our food hot, healthy servings of everything— worth the price!!! BUT the food did taste like it had been sitting for sometime.my boyfriend ordered the pulled pork sandwich w fries & a mac and cheese as an extra sidei got the bbq ribs w yams & green beans and cornbreadnormally my visits are really good, i mean i LOVVVVEEEE coming here especially when i wanna pig out on some GOOOD food. but today… wasn’t it.the sandwhich my boyfriend said had flavor but felt like mush in his mouth and felt it was watered down or something— he won’t get it again probably (lol). he said his fries were okay given its a takeout order, the fries were kind of wet but we expect that and his mac and cheese was good!my ribs were not so juicy and tender like normal. :( the greens tasted like they had been sitting on the warmer all day and felt super stringy in my mouth… the yams… ALWAYS PERFECT.the cornbread as well, felt like it had been sitting out for sometime and just warmed up to be plated.i do love this place & we will be coming back bc we understand that things happen and not everyday is the same.pls just push out proper food times… if something has been sitting out all day, would you eat it?all love ?
My husband and I wanted to try something different for dinner. We decided to try here and I’m so glad we did! My husband got the bbq ribs with Mac and cheese and greens and I was tore between pork chops and Turkey wings.. I decided to go with Turkey wings with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes with gravy. Everything was seasoned PERFECTLY! Ribs were so tender! Creamy mashed potatoes! And the corn bread… SO GOOD! I will definitely be back very soon to try the pork chops lol probably before the week is out lol!
I've never had a dish I wasn't pleased with. My boyfriend's fav. Is the BBQ sandwich and fries I absolutely love the baked chicken with collards and yams. The cake is absolutely to die for and the peach cobbler omg!!!!! Y'all won't be disappointed.
Where do I start.. I ordered 2 fish dinners with collards and Mac and cheese. The fish was on point seasoned to perfection. The collards were a bit on the salty side, so I couldn't finish them. The Mac and cheese was different, but it was ok. I may return to try other menu items.
Usually I have no complaints.. But this particular order was not satisfying… I ordered the quarter leg meal with cabbage and Mac n cheese… for starters the cabbage was very dry, the Mac n cheese tasted old and dry. The quarter leg was a 2/5 or was dry as well… not sure what was going on 3/16/22 but I was extremely disappointed
They have some of the best fried catfish I've ever had. Mac n cheese and cabbage are also very good!
This was my second time ordering from door dash first time was a large order and everything was to my likening. This time I didn't realize I ordered so close to closing and the fish was horrible. It was soaked in oil and over cooked tonight point the fish was dried out. I was so unsatisfied that I canceled my door dash subscription.
I ordered 15 wing dings, Mac and cheese, and string beans from this restaurant. Let me just say everything was superb. The chicken was fried just the way I like it, the Mac and cheese my children loved it. Home cooked food for the soul, I even called to leave Ms Tee a message lol. I will be ordering again here thank you for the delicious food.
We went there on Saturday, February 26, 2022. The food was awful. It gave my husband & I diarrhea late that night. We had catfish that didn't taste that fresh, greens that were too salty, macaroni & cheese , potato salad & corn bread. We will never go back there again & will not recommend to any of our family or friends.
