We have been fans of Tarrant’s for many years. I have to say that last night their food quality seems to have slipped down a bit. My shrimp and grits was so runny it more like a soup, and my wife’s chicken piccata was just okay. She also felt her salad was a bit wimpy. On the other hand, the deserts were excellent as usual.

Just OK to me. Food was fresh but didn’t have a lot of flavor. Pasta bolognese serving was on the smaller side. Entrees were served super fast after ordering and they forgot to bring our soup. Garlic bread was the best part of the dining experience.

Bartender was great. Made me a special drink based on preferences. Bread pudding was amazing. Rueben sandwich was great!

I ordered the calamari and it came with tartar sauce and cocktail sauce not the ailio and soy as advertised. It was mediocre. My friend had the chicken piccata and his was very tasty. The service was fabulous. They are extremely friendly and great drinks.

Having been there numerous times, the atmosphere was a bit tired. To someone who has never been, it has charm, but a bit stale for me. The prices were a bit high for the quantity of good and the taste was fine

The noise level was high because we were seated next to what appeared to be a wedding shower at 11am on a Sunday. The restaurant was by no means full so why they seated us so close is beyond me. I could hardly hear my friend right across the table. Otherwise, the food was good and the service was fine.

Everything was great--the food was great, the waitress was fun and attentive, the ambience. Definitely will return next time in Richmond.

The menu is eclectic with seafood, pasta and steak entrees. My wife had the Chicken Piccata which came with two chicken breasts, vegetables and rice. I had the Salmon with similar sides. Both dishes were cooked properly and were very tasty. You also have choices of several subs and pizza as well as salads. A full bar is available if you should choose to have a libation. The wine menu is adequate for the menu with a few pleasant surprise entries. That waitstaff was pleasant and attentive. Minuses for the decor. The wall art was dingy and ancient. It needs a serious updating. Overall I recommend Tarrants and we will be back again.

Would have never thought how nice of a place this was. Food amazing and Michelle our waitress was really nice.

Great food! You gotta try the shrimp baked with spinach and cheese. It is so good!
