We went to this restaurant based on the rating. We were not disappointed. We had the pulled pork nachos (pulled pork on pork rinds). It was usual and delicious. I had a BYO breakfast sandwich for dinner. The biscuit was terrific - fresh, moist, not crumbly. My partner had the pork ribs and they were meaty and tender.

The fried green tomatoes & the pickled & fried sandwich were amazing. I got the cheese grits as a side which were very good, but the mac & cheese was even better. Everything was cooked perfectly & our waitress was helpful and attentive.

My husband and I were coming from Ohio to Hilton Head and met our Baltimore son for several days in Richmond. He introduced us to Lunch/Dinner as our first meal in town, and it will be hard for anything to compare! Early on a weeknight, we did not have a long wait in the outside patio, surrounded by the vegetable and herb gardens. Charming! All of our meals were fresh, unique and delicious. The service was excellent. We had shrimp and local cheese grits with fennel and tomato, a hot chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese, and the evening special of fried trout in a creamy leek sauce. My only regret is being too full for a bread pudding made with Krispy Kreme donuts! If our hotel didn’t have free breakfast, I’d be back there again in the morning. It made a great start to our vacation.

Went for a graduation dinner tonight with a party of 16. We waited for over 1.5 hours. We were told one hour. We had to confront the staff and manager. Once seated the food was great and they were very accommodating

We stopped at supper for dinner one night (see what I did there) while in Richmond. There was about a half hour wait but they have a bar (different drink menu -fewer drinks) that you can wait in. Big outdoor space too. We got the fried chicken sandwich, pulled pork, and a bunch of cocktails (inside better menu). The highlight was the Mac and short rib appetizer - the crab dip was also pretty good and I absolutely hate seafood. Service was solid.

Delicious food and cool cocktails, but hard to get a table even in off peak times. Best bet is to get take out.

Went here for lunch. Sat at the bar. Ordered chicken and waffles. The chicken was moist and crunchy. The buttermilk waffle all but melted when it hit my tongue. The portions were more than enough. I thoroughly enjoyed conversations with the bartender and watching her prepare drinks.I also can't describe how amazing it smells in there from the smoker. I'm definitely going back to try some of those moonshine cocktails and the BBQ.

The best fried chicken I've ever had! Also fantastic service. Their outdoor patio is dog friendly and such a great vibe. Only thing I can think to improve is some more local beers on draft!

love the outdoor indoor seating . the biscuits and gravy is possibly the best I've ever had . the sausage was perfectly spiced, with smothering gravy eggs and cheese...

Had an amazing lunch here today. Fried green tomatoes were divine, with an amazing pimento cheese on top. My Nashville hot chicken sandwich tasted amazing, but personally I would have liked it a bit more coated as to make it a little more spicy. The staff was amazing, and the venue clean. The only reason I am not ranking this a 5, is due to the apparent lack of free parking. We had to park on a street 2 blocks away as we did not have the apps set up for the paid parking across the street.
