The best sushi in Richmond! Such a fun place. Go see Victor and scratch that sushi itch. You won't be disappointed!

Excellent sushi! I had the London roll and my gf had the Crouching Tiger. Excellently plated and the wait wasn't long at all! And they have Kikkoman plum wine here, which is phenomenally sweet and delicious.Conveniently located right on main street ( right across from Miyabi, which is also fantastic), it's not too hard to find parking and the prices were competitive! Amazing service, food and drinks every time!

Great food in a perfectly casual restaurant atmosphere! With Richmond's best sushi, Sumo San is frequented by locals and visitors alike. The luckiest of guests will have a chance to interact with Victor, the lively and personable owner who keeps an impeccable check on quality control. Consistently delicious and visually appealling, the menu here offers all your favorite tasty options. And the best Dragon Roll ever. Thank you Sumo San!

The sushi here is delicious and great quality! Our server was very nice and the sushi chef was so incredibly friendly and positive. Also one of the few places I can find Uni (sea urchin roe) actually in stock. Our food took a bit of time to come out but it's a pandemic and there's a staffing shortage so that's completely understandable. The atmosphere is really nice and a bit quirky. I'm definitely going to be a regular customer here.

Wow. The food was incredible and this people were amazing. The food was even good left over the next day. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely love Victor and his lovely wife's sushi restaurant - we are there every Wednesday or Thursday-- Great fresh sushi and excellent service each time!!!

Been coming here since they opened. Victor is great company and makes some mean sushi. love this spot.

We came here to eat pretty late around 9 and glad they were open till 10. Only one main server and one if the Sushi chefs helped serve us. We ordered a bottle of sake - Sho Chiku Bai Nigori and that was pretty good. You got a little more of that rice taste due to it being unfiltered. We ordered quite a but- the Spicy seafood soup, Beef garlic fried rice, eel and uni Sashimi. We ordered a variety of sushi - octopus and we also got a caterpillar roll. I don't recall everything we got but it was all very good and good cuts with not too much rice.I really liked the flavor of the seafood soup. It didn't have a lot of seafood, some shrimp, fish and imitation crab meat. There was some noodles and cabbage in there too. Loved the way it tasted though. The beef garlic fried rice was also good and flavorful but I wish it had more garlic in there.Overall a great Sushi spot.

This restaurant is really really slow. Food is just average. Only chef and one host running the restaurant at prime time. Come here only if you are not so hungry and have 2 hrs to spare at this restaurant!
