Made for our rainbow baby, baby shower . This piece of art exceeded expectations, the flavors were impeccable. We sent a photo of the invite and left it up to the designer to surprise us. Absolutely stunning, a big thanks to Sugar & Salt! ?
Delicious! I had a small graduation cake done by them in JMU colors. I had a very easy, quick conversation with Brianna via email. I came into the situation with no expectations as well as NO CLUE what I wanted. I was willing to let them free-hand. I asked for a small strawberry cake with purple & yellow and they killed it. I never would have expected this. It was very delicious strawberry cake with strawberries icing (a tad too sweet but that’s okay!) and buttercream icing. Price was fair. $65 for a cake that feeds 10-12 people.
First time as a customer of Sugar & Salt and I was not disappointed! I ordered the mini lemon tarts with fruit topping and they were delicious. The crust was light and was not soggy the next day from the fridge. The lemon curd was tart and just sweet enough to satisfy a sweet craving. Most importantly, the fruit did not have excess moisture, it was perfect. Thank you Sugar & Salt for helping me celebrate my birthday!
We used Sugar and Salt RVA for our wedding and it was beyond delicious. The cupcake tasting was easy and so was communication from the very start. We could not imagine working with anyone else for our special day. The cakes were light and the buttercream perfect and fluffy - just what we wanted. Lovely shop and people! The cakes and pastries were all well decorated and displayed. I purchased an assortment and my friends loved it! Everything was edible and tasted amazing. Only problem was that I had asked for 13 items and when I arrived at work there were only 11 in the box. The receipt isn’t itemized either so I had no way of finding out if I had been overcharged.Changed to 5 stars due to phenomenal response! Thank you for looking into the receipt! I will definitely be back no freebies necessary ?

This place is amazing! I stopped by out of the blue and the smell of these treats alone were too tantalizing to ignore. I picked up red velvet (hard choice, so many options) but I knew that the person I wanted to share with loved red velvet!This was such a treat for us and the perfect little surprise and amount to share. 10/10 display and taste. There was icing on the bottom to lock the cake in place so it didn’t topple in its box, which I didn’t know anything about, but I’ve been told that’s how you know a place is good!Also just gives you adorable bakery vibes that make you want to keep coming back to support and to enjoy!
Most bakeries have pretty cakes but they just don’t taste good. Sugar & Salt RVA has the most beautiful cakes and they are absolutely DELICIOUS. The best I have ever had! Highly recommend stopping by and purchasing a slice or two of cake- you will not be disappointed!!!
We were part of Discover Richmond food tour yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the mousse cake - decadent, beautifully presented, but above all - delicious! We will be back!
