We pulled up, only 2 cars in parking lot, thought they was closed. Friendly staff, first time here. Had order taken, the young man who announces the orders was very nice and professional. The amount of food they give you is insane. Well worth the trip to visit here, enough for 2 people to share. Can wait to return.
We were at a convention in Richmond, Va and this was the recommended place to eat. The shrimp were spicy but amazing. There was a LOT of fish on each order, you couldn't close the box. We sat at the tables outside and the area was very clean and inviting. It started raining and we stayed because it was so comfortable. The service was very good. There was a LONG line, but the lady taking the orders was helpful and patient. We will return.
Man, this place is good! The picture doesn’t do it justice to just how much food that I got. I ordered the Popcorn Shrimp special and got half a box full of shrimp, fries, cole slaw, and two pieces of buttered toast. The shrimp was fresh, crunchy, and delicious and so were the fries. The coleslaw was tasty and the bread was perfectly buttered. Tartar sauce was awesome, should’ve asked for extra because I used all of mine. I couldn’t believe that the box was only $8.99 for the quality and quantity I got. Service was also incredibly friendly, cant wait to come back soon!
These portions are huge!! I drove past them and made a u-turn when I saw the line, I knew it had to be good and they did not disappoint! It’s not just a lot of food, it’s good!! I will be back!
Sugars Sampler. Enough food for 4 ppl! Everything was great! Fried whiting, shrimp, oysters, soft shell crab, and deviled crab. Side of coleslaw and fried okra.
Oh baby let me tell you, the food is good seasoned well. I love it. And you most definitely get your money’s worth. They always give me more food then i order. I ordered a 8 piece shrimp and got like 3 or 4 extra pieces. And it’s like that all the time.
I'm always looking for the local gems and this place definitely fits the bill. Walk up ordering with outdoor seating on a chill patio with classic R&B playing. There was a line of locals, great sign. Use your time in line to look over the menu, although the line went quickly. We had to try their crab cakes but also ordered their Fish and Shrimp special. Ordered it fried with their potato salad and slaw. My buddy ordered their green beans and baked beans. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Their crab cakes were a little pricey, but sooo worth it, closest to lump crab with over 1/4 pound of meat in each and not over seasoned with Old Bay. Shrimp and fish were lightly battered and both were excellent. I had the Whiting. Slaw was well balanced and lightly creamy, and the potato salad spices were amazing. Great service, great vibe. Will be back when in town.
The Portions are Insane!!Lol Deviled Crabs are the Best(my fav)!! The size of the fish and shrimps are huge! My husband loves the fish- very "meaty" he says lol. Customer service is Excellent! Definitely get ur money's worth for a seafood meal!
Sooo, stopped by Sugar’s last night only because I seen a post and pics on Social Media earlier thought I’d give them a try.Definitely more than I expected! Great Food, Fresh and the taste for each item was right on point. Just Right. Shout out to John and Don for expediting my order. This place is slamming! Wow, before I came here and saw the portion sizes, it was unbelievable. Two people can dine on one platter! FOR REAL! The quality is good too!Go get the experience!
